Game Thread: Twins vs Brewers, 4/19/16 @ 12:10 PM CT

[70charger]

This game is getting away from us quickly. Though I am excited to see if "Gulfa" Tonkin can replicate his last performance.

[KidBro]

What is the mlb policy on ghost runners?  I propose we just let Arcia bat every at bat and use ghost runners.

I think Buxton is faster than a Ghost Runner..... but good luck getting Paulie to PR Buxton in a critical spot in the game.

[FunnyPenguin]

Pitchers have finally figured out Dozier, they all put their pitches low and outside and he rarely makes hard contact now, I'd say a pretty poor year for him in 2016.

In next season's edition of Neglecting Outfield Defense, GM Terry Ryan is going to try an actual traffic cone in left.

[Pardon My Dinger]

Oh, damn. This is big.

[Pardon My Dinger]

Could really use a Sano Bang right now.

[KidBro]

Sano still owes us 2 HR's over next 3 games, I call to use 1 here.

[70charger]

He tried to hit that one to the moon. A guy with Sano's power probably doesn't need to do that.

[rghrbek]

not a great game for Miggy

But can it hit?

[PopRiveter]

Good to see the real Twins are back, and not that somewhat competent team that had been playing the past 4 days.

I look forward to having the real Miguel Sano back.

[HitInAPinch]

oh good, Allen going out to calm down Tonkin

oh crap, Tonkin got the hook!

I do worry about this

[stringer bell]

Tonkin does look pretty good, but I suspect he's still a bit fragile. The good ones appear expressionless and emotionless. Tonkin seems too upset when he misses his spot.

[ScrapTheNickname]

I'm late to this thread, pardon my interruption, but after Nunez's boot I have to comment. WHAT IF Major League infielders HAD TO PLAY on a crappy, small town, rotten, bumpy, gopher-holed, rained on, droughted-on, pig-eaten INFIELD like I had to play on, with all kinds of scary bounces ... and not these manicured, pedicured, loved with tears, photoshopped-in-the-heart by groundskeeper crews INFIELDS OF TODAY? I mean, really, if I had actually known that the ball was going to bounce true, I would have been a much better player.

Sidenote: I think the professional fields "look" even better than they are, which, of course, is considerably damn good.

Anyone else see that guy in section 234 go ass over tailfeathers? Well, he got a souvenir, it looks like.

[Hrbowski]

Park Drive!

[Danchat]

Park! I wish I were watching this on TV...

[ScrapTheNickname]

10 home runs for Twins. All solo shots.

[FunnyPenguin]

If we could get a homerun with some one base that'd be awesome...

[Guest]

Can you believe we get to say Park Bang without having to go to the Assistant Principal's office?

This right here.  Catcher has got to get out there the 1st time this happens and calm him down.

Now I'm singing our comeback song

The Twins are pinch-hitting? I thought that went against Molitor's beliefs!

[rghrbek]

Pinch hitting for a catcher????

[Dozier's Glorious Hair]

Yes!

[Hrbowski]

Molitor is one smart manager!

[HitInAPinch]

no freaking way
