The Rays and Red Sox both started 0-6 that season and both finished with 90+ wins. The Rays made it to the playoffs that year.

 

And that was before the second wildcard.

Anybody else a bit suspicious about KC beaning the two Twins hitters that the Royals couldn't get out today? Mauer goes 3 for 3 and gets beaned in the knee cap. Nunez goes 4 for 4 and gets beaned in the arm. Not sayin', just sayin..
