Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 DOUBLE SWEEP! I'm going to go get a chicken dinnah for supper tonight. My grocery store makes better chicken than Brian's.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hopefully that save won't mess up Milone's delivery like participating in the HR Derby can supposedly mess with a hitter's swing!
Jerr Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I never had a doubt as to this Twins win!!!!!
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Orioles are now 54-1 when leading after 8 innings.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hey guys. What'd I miss? The Twins have a lefty closer. No, really.
Jerr Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 DOUBLE SWEEP!I'm going to go get a chicken dinnah for supper tonight.I had chicken for lunch, a premature celebratory "dinner"?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Wow, Tommy Milone, ace closer!!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 So, is that what a sigh of relief feels like?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 I had chicken for lunch, a premature celebratory "dinner"?No. That was just lunch.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Nice to see the scoreless inning from Perk. Suddenly the 'pen doesn't look quite so hopeless.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Well, that's four improbable wins in Baltimore, the first because of how large the margin was and the last three because of, well, we all know what I mean. So 4-3 on the road trip, which is good, and 4-0 vs Baltimore, which is good because of their proximity in the WC race. But I almost think I'd have felt better if we had beaten the Yankees 3 times and gone 1-3 against the O's. Almost.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 What a way to end that series. I'm kind of glad tomorrow is an off-day.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Glad I'm not an Orioles fan today. I would be pissed off right now. I am glad that I don't have to moderate Orioles Daily today.

Suddenly the 'pen doesn't look quite so hopeless.Nice to see, and not to be a debbie downer, but Perk looked pretty pedestrian in that inning. But yeah, the additions of May, Jepsen and perhaps Cotts, along with a return to form from Fien, makes the pen look less like a ticking time bomb for sure.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hey guys. What'd I miss? Can I be honest here real quick? I watched that whole game. I was setting up this comment for like an hour. It's the long - and very speculative - con. But I can't lie to you, TD!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 DOUBLE SWEEP!I'm going to go get a chicken dinnah for supper tonight. I had chicken for lunch, a premature celebratory "dinner"?I'll go one past that. I had chicken for breakfast. (Are we turning into OCD Wade Boggs clones?)

Jerr Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I made my chicken premature dinnah celebratory meal.....thighs with slight oil coating and Greek Seasoning on top, 2 hours in oven on 325 degrees, with red potatoes in same pan, and served with salad and a spicey bar-b-que sauce. Buy a precooked chicken dinnah? NEVER Been a lot of fun here today!!!! Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 BTW, it looks almost inevitable the Twins are going to be chasing just one team for the second WC spot at the end of the day. For all intents and purposes, they control their destiny.

A whole chicken in the smoker. 5 bucks and its better than an expensive restaurant.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 This series established a wonderful new norm: in hockey terms, it's called "battle level," and we saw a buttload from the Twins. Was this Molly's first ejection ever as manager?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Was this Molly's first ejection ever as manager? Negative. Got tossed from the Saturday Yankees game at Target arguing the check swing call on Hicks when they had the bases loaded.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Just finished watching the MLBTV replay, I think I'm going to have to watch it again, because I don't quite believe what I just saw.

Isn't it nice to see a team that looks so intimidated by the Twins they do whatever it takes a lose a game? After the Yankees series, Twins fans needed that.
