You Cool With this?

Busy summer for the Supreme Court.  They covered that too.

Well, you're having a good night.

Dozier is going yard tonight. That has the T.C. guarantee!

Harken back roughly a century, to a time before internets and cellular devices, when interactions were actually *gasp* in person...

Of course, we're still when and where we are (nowhere) and instead of the rhythmic ceremonial ritual (to quote Doc Brown) we now engage in intellectual discussion no less varied and invigorating. So in all earnest, i humbly invite you to such.Oh, since i started it, musical jokes are fair game, even oboe or drummer jokes. Viola jokes might be construed as over the line, so be tasteful."What's the difference between a Violin and Viola?""A Cy Young, and the '87 world series MVP."To further note the differences, and perhaps the artifice inherent in the situation, in the wild, bats eat flies, reducing their number. While in the ballpark, flies would not be possible without bats......Er, right. The actual game. Got distracted for a moment, taking the metaphor too seriously, thinking of the War to end all Wars, the stock market crash, the dust bowl, the nude eel. All of which i'm too young to appreciate, so i can only imagine. Anyway!

Once upon a time, Verlander owned the Twins. No really. Briefly, the Pohlads put them up for collateral... Alright, ya got me. I was pulling your leg. I just meant he was very difficult to beat. Now it's our turn to see if Santana(s) can return the favor!Hicks, Rosario, Sano, Mauer, Plouffe, Hunter. I'm under the impression this here team is comin' together. And that's good. Even fun to watch, and to discuss. And finally, to embrace the multimedia format of modern day to put ye in the mood, (and having no fear it'll take ya away from the game, 'cause it's Friday after all):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb6LSuR_Cgc
you throw a hell of a ball, sampleSizeOfOne!

If Brian Dozier isn't an all star, then to heck with the all star game! What he's done just the last few games says all that needs to be said about that.

Okay ... I headed off to watch Moneyball and I was enjoying that ridiculous game versus KC. I almost forgot to check the score before heading off to bed, but I decided that I might as well, just to see how well we died.

I gave my first after midnight scream since I was 2 years old.

EDIT: I'm glad I didn't check the GT. You guys give me no clue. Absolutely no clue. Where are the CBU's? I leave for a few days and they completely disappear? I'm heartily ashamed of you. You're given a job, you're expected to perform it.

Okay, okay, it's not a job. But I'm tellin' ya, we need CBU's. At least once every 9 innings.

Wow, they pulled it out..and I turned off the game when it was 6-1 top of the ninth or so.

Teach me a lesson.

Meanwhile, May is probably wondering why work 7 innings when he can pick up a win working only 1.

Holey crap! We scored us a run!

Post of the night.

/ as it turns out

/ I gotta stop going to bed at 10:30 on a Friday night

/ then again, if I was out on the town like I should be then I wouldn't be watching a game via Internet, so there's that

May in the game.    Is there such a thing as a no leverage appearance?

Wait, I changed my mind. New winner of Post of the Night.

So all we need is several bloops, a blast, a couple walks, 2 stolen bases, a wild pitch, a passed ball, and another blast.

Wait, wait, this is the new... so many Posts of the Night. So many....

My recap of the game on Thursday was that the best second baseman on the field that day was Ian Kinsler. My recap of last night's game: Brian Dozier was the best second baseman on the field. 'Nuff said.

The backend rookies of our bullpen gave us 5 scoreless innings yesterday... Who woulda thought that would happen

Yeah me 2... Eastern Time is a Bitch... I Actually don't know why I stayed up but I'm glad I did.

Brian,

I'm in Pacific Time (AZ), which is a bitch for the opposite reason. How would you like games to start at 5 p.m.? And East Coast games to start at 4 p.m.? It sucks, if that's not already apparent.

An inning like that is a team effort. While Dozier gets and deserves the biggest share of the glory I think the most important at-bat of the inning was by Aaron Hicks. After being behind 0-2 he worked a walk to load the bases. It looks like almost nothing in the box score but it's a great example of doing what needs to be done and taking what the pitcher gives you.

Yup … and Suzuki, too, was at 0-2 and ended up on base with a hbp.

Just finished breakfast, I'm going to go watch that 9th inning again on the Detroit feed and laugh my ass off.

Oh PVR how I love you.

I watched the Detroit broadcast replay and I cannot dislike the Detroit broadcasters.

If only it was Chicago. Hawk is always priceless in these moments.
