And what they don't, I'm here to tell them of your complaints about shopping for curtains!

Anecdotes. Please! They were all warm, loving anecdotes about life in the Sierra Nevada.

That was thoughtless of Glunn. He meant flesh-eating bacteria, I am sure.

No, I adored it. I just can't like it.

After mopping the floor with the A's best pitcher and facing a far worse lefty tomorrow, it would seem that the Twins should romp to an easy win.  Well, there are three variables that could change things--1)  Nolasco.  He needs to keep the Twins in the game and maybe show Target Field fans that he's worth most of his large salary.  2)  Weather--The game might not happen.  There may be a long delay.  It could rob the Twins of their momentum.  3) Pomeranz--He's better than his record.  The Twins haven't seen him much if at all.  They do have a history of struggling vs. guys who are unheralded.

Me either. It's a terrible analogy!

That's why I like it so much. I just stared at it, and then, suddenly,

"BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

Well, now, tomorrow I'll have to come back and like this since I agree. I think I'll have to start at page 16 and like every post, and then when I go on to Bowsk's thread, I'll click "like," and it will pull up that evil little window that tells me I filled my quota. Time to contact Brock. He needs to up the number.

See? ChiTown agrees with me too!

Aw, cut it out. I really will reach my quota of likes tomorrow if you don't stop this.

Darn it all.  Why is the mop bucket always half full in your world, Stringer?

Just so we never, ever lose this:

Many people helped pave the way, and they all rejoiced as one, after just one swing.

Do I get a little credit for having started the game thread? At least I'll probably never forget the date, since I now have two reasons to remember it.

Team ERA is 3.92.  Lowest it's been since 2010.  I know 28 games is not a large sample size, but it still feels good.

I predict a fight at some point in this series if we keep scoring. They're super frustrated, and some of these guys have major chips on their shoulders (Reddick, Lawrie).

So when was the last Twins altercation? Not counting the internal Liriano one! Lol

The Twins are winning without two of their very high priced free agent pitchers. (Nolasco hasn't done anything to impress)

The bullpen seems to be able to put up a few zeroes all of a sudden.

The bats seem not to care how many runs the starting pitching gives up, because they'll tag the opposing pitcher for even more.

Where did these Twins come from?

Finally, I think that hitters have an unfair advantage over pitchers. They can score as many runs as they want in an inning, but pitchers are limited to three outs per inning. Therefore, it sometimes takes only one solo shot in the 1st that lasts throughout the whole game to win it, while pitchers have to keep coming back to get three outs - and then wait - and then come back and get three more outs - and then wait - and meanwhile hitters might have scored anywhere between 0-13 runs (or more) in a game, and nobody ever dreams of putting a limit to the amount they can put on the board. And the cycle continues until the game is finally over. I don't understand how that can possibly be fair, but our respectable forefathers wanted it this way, and even I will stand by tradition and support the practice. But once again, I have this feeling deep down in my gut that it can't possibly be fair.

Hope that answers your question.

I am hoping there will be a number of accomplishments this season where we can since "since 2010".  I am not exactly expecting a world series ring -- although I would take it -- but am hoping at the end of the year that this will clearly be the best season since we fell off the cliff after 2010.

We're seeing bits of the future here. Gibson as stud, Rosario and Vargas with bombs. It's only gonna get better as the prospects rise.

Loved Mr. Rosario's intro to Twins ball tonite

Wrong night to hope for that. Tonight was the first time I walked out of Target Field sober in... Well, ever, probably.

Looks like you picked a ad week to give up sniffing glue.

Your first post, with the typo, had me wondering.

So, you've picked up the art of whispering after one replies? Well, what's your last name? I'll friend you on Facebook and let you know. I'd like to lose this account. I can't seem to figure out how to delete it, and this is the friendliest pack of liberals I've ever met. I hate you so much, I can't stand the thought of one more night of camping on a game thread. It's kind of an addiction. I don't know how to stop it, and the rehab centers won't accept me.
