Brian's turn. Watch this spot for further developments.

Thank You ChiTown!!! That's what I do at home... I watch a spot and finally my wife says... "Well... Don't just look at it... Clean it Up!!!

Things to Think About:

1. Jason Kubel -- He sure had a nice game yesterday. Who knows what the rest of the season holds for Jason but right now it does appear that dirt on his grave was a little premature.

2. Glen Perkins -- Glen said something to Josh Donaldson yesterday and the dugouts emptied. I have no idea what Glen said to Josh... It may have been something uncivilized and I really don't care. In my mind it's necessary and I love it!!! I assume whatever was said... it was a simple statement to the A's and more importantly to his Minnesota teammates. A statement that says we are going to go toe to toe and start kicking some tail. If the entire Minnesota dugout takes this same attitude. I believe we will win quite a few more games than we would have and do so... without adding a single player.

3. Burton vs. Norris -- It's too bad that Burton didn't rise to the challenge that Perkins threw down. 3 run homers happen but the timing sure sucked. It was Norris who made the final statement while Perkins was in the dugout watching.

4. One bad inning -- When it comes to good inning percentage... Phil Hughes is doing real well... He has hung a lot of zero's... Two bad innings total have destroyed his current ERA thus far. Keep hanging those zero's we need them.

5. Tattoo's -- I don't have any tattoo's... I can see getting married and having a couple of kids... But a Tattoo? that's so permanent.

Strong wind blowing out makes for long fly balls. I just picked up 8 from across the street into the high school this morning and tossed 'em back. And no strong wind either for these extended guys. Time for the Twins to show some power. Are we last in homers this year?

Seriously, isn't it clear that Mauer-Dozier should be the top of this lineup?

Just posted this in the Mauer thread! I know Mauer isn't a speed guy, but in virtually every other aspect, Joe would be perfect at the leadoff spot for this team. The catcher barrier has been broken -- let's make it happen!

In other entertainment news, Stephen Colbert will be batting for David Letterman in the future.

Just saw that...

Great choice by CBS... but I'm going to miss the political satire of the Report.

(Trying to think too... Hopefully i'll get better with practice.)

1. - Yeah, Kubel seems to be giving an alternate meaning to "RIP". Nice to see.

2. - Getting fired up without getting fired! Er, i mean, ejected. A win all around, well...

3. - A moral victory at least. And i'm pretty sure moral victories are like box tops? If you get enough of them you can send them in for something cool, like a temporary tattoo. I liked to see the bases loaded in the bottom half of the inning. We almost had Burton's back, like we had Perkins'.

4. - The zeros do bode well, though we'll see soon enough.

5. - Isn't a Permanent a hairstyling ritual from perhaps a generation ago? Kidding aside, this is really food for thought. What would I write/draw that I would always have to read? Well, perhaps chatting in a game thread may serve as scratch paper to figure that sort of thing out.

6. - (If people don't mind me adding one...) Mastrioanni! A new year, another chance. We'll see what he does with it.

Anyway... Play ball! (maybe a tad premature... sorry, i've rarely been accused of being mature)

I'm coming around to the idea of Mauer leading off, followed by Dozier.

Now if only Gardy would come around to that thinking.

and another Dozier homer. This looks like it is going to be a Dozier Day, unless Pelfrey pitches a Quality Start.

He got it! Bottom of the inning coming up.

(and i think it was a Punto walk... Just as glad they didn't bean Punto. But either way, bases were loaded with two out and top of the order. Now their not, as the inning's over.)
