    Control is the last thing to come back after TJ. I expect more ups and downs, but hopefully on an upward trajectory.

    I know these games are against poor teams, but I am enjoying the offense. Some small ball, some home runs, even a steal or two. I hope it reprograms the hitting strategy and they can take it forward against good teams!

    Seems like a very sound approach to limit the count for young pitchers. The object is to refine their technique, not eat innings in minor league games.

    I wonder if the fastball to the face last year has anything to do with it. He came back fine, but he may have been running on adrenaline and resolve. There was most of a season left to play. However, the off-season spent with his family, and time to think, may have let some PTSD in. Just a theory.

    Oakland currently has a better record than the Twins... Ouch ☹️

    Ownership that runs the team like a business instead of a luxury item. FO that totally squandered what little payroll they had to spend. A manager with no feel for the game. Players that are dispirited and a farm system to match. If that doesn't sound like total system failure, I don't know what does.

    Kepler looks just as lost at the plate in AAA. Doesn't seem like getting him back is going to improve the team.

    I've thought this as well. Watch Tom Froeming's system recaps. Is this the result of years of drafting swing for the fences no position players and late round pitching gems?

    The awful start wouldn’t be nearly as worrisome if the Guardians & Tigers weren’t off to such good starts. If this continues another couple of weeks, the Twins will be in a tough hole to get out of.

    It may not be a straightforward as changing the coaching. The FO built a team for the “all or nothing” approach. Asking them to change to a contact approach may be the equivalent of using NASCAR stock cars in a Formula 1 race.
