  1. I would sign him too , have Iiked what he brought to the table .... Unfortunately I don't think he will be retained with all the other options to fill the position ... Would be pleasantly surprised if they did keep him ...
  2. We still have the AFL to report on our twins prospects ....
  3. Get rid of the baby powder blue and bring back the pin stripes please ....
  4. We have been there and done that ... Number 3 should be coaches and Number 4 should be all the top professionals FO hired for all the positions in the system ... This hasn't been a catastrophe like 2021 but it is showing the ineptitude that they can't contend , compete yes , maybe ... Contend is the key word and is what every diehard twins fans wants ... They are not taking the right avenue to tap into the players talent by resting , though you would think it would help some .... Injuries are not the big excuse , they are professionals players or they wouldn't be in the show ...
  5. He has come as advertised , bat first , not a good defender ... Now it's up to coaching to make him better defensively ..
  6. I know this is harsh and has been repeated quite often since 2021 but it holds truth .... Total system failure , FO's top professionals at every positions in the system has failed , not the twins players ... The players are following a plan orchestrated by the FO that isn't working and is diminishing their players skills ... And that is the core of it ...
  7. Yes keplers decline since 2019 has been disappointing , he's had some highlights against Cleveland pitcher bauer .... Hard to replace his defense , I like it ... Would have been nice to have kepler keep hitting to the opposite field for a better contribution to the team , he started to and then reverted back to his old ways pulling the ball , almost like someone told him he wasn't getting paid to hit to the opposite field ... The game is all about adjustments but maybe the FO’s plan doesn't call for adjustments or the twins players are not the most educated on the fundamentals ... Sano flopped going for a new contract , he'll get a minor league contract by someone , maybe even by the twins , they did that with cave last year ... Hopefully kepler plays hard in his final controlled year for a better contract or even raise his trade value ... There is a buy out at the end of 2023 and a club option for 2024 so if he has value and is traded the club won't have to pay the buy out ...
  8. Pretty hard to replace his defense ... We have depth but it's unproven or always injured , have to concur he stays until someone takes away his position , we let Rosario go thinking we had replacements in left field, leftfield has been a mess since , mostly due to injuries ,,, really though Rosario wasn't the best fielder either so leftfield has been a position of need for a Ling time ... Keplers defense in rightfield is the best since Oliva , cuddyer was almost as good defensively but hit better ... Who changed keplers plan to hit to the opposite field , he was working on it earlier in the season and it was encouraging but he reverted back to pulling the ball ,,, Did someone tell him we're not paying you to hit to the opposite field !!!!
  9. It would be nice if Wichita wins the series ,,, if would help ease the pain of the twins September alittle bit ...
  10. The walking dead ... Minnesota twins ... Minnesota twinkies .... How about the Minnesota possums , they play dead at home and then get killed on the road ... I do love my twins baseball ....
  11. The front office has not shown me that they know when to hold them or know when to fold them ... Yes they have tried to build a winner and have held on to players and prospects , they have never been known when to trade a player at their highest value ,,, kepler for example who i love his defense but his hitting is as bad as a second string catcher had extreme value but fo thought he was part of the future because they are trying to build a winning team , he had bad averages before 2019 and then a career year ( heck they all had career years but the fo didn't recognize it and held on to players that were likely to underachieve the following year rather than trading at their highest value ) ... Berrios maybe was traded at his highest value but the jury is out on the return ... This front office now has to prove to me at least that it can recognize a players talent and if they are part of the future and keep them,,, if not trade them at their highest values ... For those that like analytics , great ... For those that Don't like analytics , great ... For those that would like to see small ball fundamentals with analytics you are great too .. Mix it up and add some excitement because it has turned into a boring game the fo has put on the field ...
  12. FO can be blamed for roster and the plan ,,, I like the logic on luck being a preparation ,,, Ownership doing anything to step in I don't know , has media done any interviews with JP lately to know his thoughts on 2022 ...
  13. The good , FIRST HALF .. the bad , SECOND HALF ... the ugly , GAME FUNDELMENTALS ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it ...
  14. Went to the game last night and noticed Correa got thrown out twice at first base ,,, Seemed like he wasn't running at full speed , he might of injured his ankle or a leg problem the other day in the game after all ... I thought he should of beat tge throws both times if running at full speed ... Has anything been mentioned that he tweaked something ???
  15. He is an ex twin , how can he stay healthy and keep on playing ... Must be taking lessons from the energizer bunny ...
  16. It's pretty sad now that we have only 2 players that are hitting in September , Gordon and the rested Correa ... It was a winnable game had they hit it were they ain't ... It was a winnable game and Rocco brought in pagan who did manage for once to keep the score the same ... It's tough to watch the twins and the plan ... looking forward to watching the better teams in the playoffs play better fundamentally baseball ...
  17. He was productive in the outfield , hit 28 homeruns but no doubles or RBI's ... I have to commend him for playing all those games injured , it did disrupt his hitting most definitely ...
  18. It's definitely looking like baseball is definitely a business and not a game ,,, Sanchez has done good and pagan has not but since pagan has control the FO thinks it can turn him around nrxt year and trying awful hard not to eat crow on that trade , pagan has now had 4 awful seasons since his best one , can't figure out why pagan wasn't dfa'd cause all he is is another Ron Davis , good stuff but gets hit hard ...
  19. arraez , though he is playing injured and that is easy to tell , base running , hitting , he is grimacing when he swings , left hamstring and maybe knees too have led to his downfall but he is still out there playing and giving it all he's got while injured ... Arreaz still gave us plenty of exciting baseball before the allstar break , also I have seen lots of players in the years that go to allstar game and then have poorer numbers in second half , why is that , pressure , injuries , homerun derby really messes up a hitters swing ...
  20. Congratulations to varland as pitcher of the year and Wallner as hitter of the year for the minor leagues ... Would love for these fellow minnesotans to lead this twins team to a world series .... Go twins and go varland and wallner , your time has come , take it and work hard ...
  21. Congratulations to Wallner for minor leagues hitter of the year ... If STEER or CES hadn't been traded I don't think it would have been unanimous ....
  22. The players have talent to get to the show and once there it is the responsibility of the manager and coaches to tap into that talent and make them a better talent . I just don't see that happening ... I also don't understand why the minor leaguers are not taught the fundamentals of the game before they get to the show , it's an embarrassment on the coaching there as well ... But in falvey's words we have hired the top professionals in the industry at every level and position in the system , what a crock ...
