  1. My favorite pitch is strike three to the opposing hitter to end the game ... Twins win ...
  2. This is the question ... How Rocco will use Stewart out of the bullpen ,,, Until the front office deals with the pagan situation , I'm not going to hold my breath on any of these added fringe players ... Get a long relief guy for a bullpen please ...
  3. In addition , batting Kepler as lead off or hitting 4th or higher is not conducive to a winning team ... Also we will never win with the manager we have ... I hope I can be proved wrong ...
  4. Give credit where credit is due ... Polanco has been a very good asset for the twins and will continue to do so , even if there are doubters out there , he should be fine barring injuries ...
  5. I wish I could be impressed every game ... Pitching and patient hitting shined ...
  6. All three of those twins pitchers in Boston were nibbling off the plate because they don't trust their stuff ,,, Pagan , Acala and Moran ...
  7. Changing the rules and larger bases to create a faster more exciting game of baseball ... It's doesn't appear the twins have it in their vocabulary to manufacture runs , something I truly think keep sinking the twins , there are some games that could have been won with some emphasis on manufacturing a run ... This is not 2019 and the juiced ball , MLB could have brought back the juiced ball to create excitement in the game but they didn't because that would slow the game down ... Run , catch and throw the ball ... We need a better plan or we'll continually be behind the eight ball ... One last humble thought as harsh as it is , we will not win with this plan of the FO and with current manager ... The package must go ...
  8. We'll probably see some of them as Allstars in the future ( at least the ones that are currently under contract or maybe a rejuvenated sano ) ...
  9. What do the 3 relievers that pitched in today's loss have in common ??? They all are afraid to throw strikes , they nibble off the plate ...
  10. Good analysis but doubtful Buxton is anything close to Sano ... It's a small sample size to 2023 season and something isn't clicking with Buxton and as some has stated it hasn't clicked since he tumbled ... Really we should be looking at the entire offense cause most of the offense isn't clicking ,,, I looked up total team stats this morning and if memory serves me right ... 175 strikeouts give or take ... Roughly 575 at bat's ... 120 hits give or take ... 20 homeruns ... 11 doubles ... ( really , this should be more than the homerun total ) 75 rbi's give or take ... Will the hitting heat up or will it have an explosive day and then a few mediocre days in a row ... Don't forget situational hitting as an accomplice , something the coaches don't seem to emphasize ... I'm not complaining yet about Buxton , I'm complaining on the entire offense ... 3 run Homer's are game changers ... Solo Homer's and strikeouts are not ...
  11. The bat's put it away early and congrats to headrik on his debut ... Weather at home not looking to good , last week we were teased by mother nature and this week will have colder temperatures. ....
  12. Lopez has looked very good and looks to be worth the investment ... We should be annalizing Lopez against berrios , he signed a 7 year contract extension and so far had a good second half in 2021 , a lousy 2022 and he is off to a poor start in 2023 all with Toronto ... Annalize that ...
  13. Thanks Ted, I didn't know Polanco had been sent to the saints , he's getting closer and hope his bat heats up ...
  14. My thoughts exactly is Kepler ... Time to move on and trade him or release ...
  15. Huge hits in Huge moments are what we need by everyone ( situational hitting ) its not that difficult to learn ... But it's grip it and rip it and usually ends in a strikeout , twins lead in strikeouts , offense has scored 63 runs for the season and the pitching has been winning the games , not the offense , except for a 11 to 2 romp over the Yankees ...
  16. I agree , Pete and repete are not funny ... I didn't even think about an injury , I guess I missed his spill ...
  17. Without reading any of the posts of the writer or members this is my thoughts ... Should we be concerned about Buxton , 10 strikeouts in last 12 at bat's ... Did playing Buxton through injuries change his swing last year and we know how his average dropped while playing injured last year ... Now he seems he isn't recognizing pitch selections ... Just my thoughts , GO BUCK Now I'll read the post and responses ...
  18. Like his doubles capabilities better than someone trying to hit homeruns and strikes out ... He has shown he has been a good acquisition so far , though I questioned the signing at the time because of our infield prospect depth ... When Lewis gets back or maybe Lee makes his mlb debut he could be traded for some value ... Neto made his mlb debut for the angles , he was drafted number 13th in last year's draft , , first of the class of 2022 .... Will Lee be next ...
  19. The twins now have a chance to win the series , would be unbelievable in Yankee stadium ... Varland couldn't locate in the first inning but found his groove and did a wonderful job of keeping it close so the twins could come from behind and win ... Pitching wins ... Pagan got the win oh my ...
  20. Of the players we acquired over the winter Solano and Lopez the starter have performed admirably , Larnach has played well and I hope all the players can stay healthy and stay off the injured list ... Hitting is needed and I miss arreaz he is Hitting , and hit for the cycle the other night , the very first cycle in marlins history ,,, Took a major leaguer to do it I guess ... Doesn't look like arreaz has peaked yet like some were saying before the trade , what a fun hitter to watch ...
  21. Thanks for the write up and I'll check them out when I get a chance to attend a game ,,, From my TV all I have noticed is the twins taken the field and come to play ...
  22. Lopez was on his game after the first inning ... In his 3 starts he has only surrendered runs in the first inning , 0 in his first start against KC , 1 in his 2nd start against miami , 2 in his 3rd start against Chicago ... 23 batters retired in a row was awesome and he just dazzled and pitched into the eighth .... Sure miss major leaguer ( arreaz ) as it took a real major leaguer to hit for the first cycle in marlins history ... Arreaz is a very exciting player to watch and I'm sure he is a fan favorite by now ... Lopez so far looks like a polished pitcher and I hope he continues and stays healthy ...
  23. It's a marathon season and Ryan will get plenty of starts for the season , I'm not reading anything into this start other than he did his job ... At the start of a season they say the pitcher has the advantage over the hitter as the hitters are still adjusting their timing ... Lots of slow starts in lineups , low BA , OPS and failing to score with runners in scoring position ... The starting pitchers have kept us in the small sample size of the season , the rotation is much better than last year and the year before that and the year before that season , etc. , etc . , etc . ...
