  1. Ugh, not what we needed from Lewis
  2. Gotta do something with this opportunity here!
  3. The Twins are 2nd in the AL and 5th in the league in walks. Taking pitches is subjective. If Castro goes up there looking for a fastball in the zone and gets it on the first pitch and grounds out, can you really fault him? Not all hitters, especially strike out prone hitters are great at working the count. Watching good pitches go by only to get fooled on an 0-2 count isn't where it's at. It's why throwing 1st pitch strikes is so huge. You get swings which could lead to outs, or you get ahead in the count.
  4. Dallas at 60 pitches. Gotta imagine he probably goes around 95-100 regardless with the 7 straight games coming up. Hope he makes the most of them.
  5. It certainly looked like it went off his glove. Even MLB has the log as being deflected by Max.
  6. I looked at his page expecting him to be 24 or 25, didn't put it together it was the same Diaz that played with Cleveland years ago. Harold Ramirez another one having a career year at 29. I think it also just goes to show that not everyone breaks out at an early age as well. Tampa is willing to give guys AB's who have talent, but haven't put it together yet.
  7. Kepler should have caught it. Farmer should have went to 1st with that deflected ball. But yes, those things combined with a couple solid base hits and it leads to trouble.
  8. Yandy Diaz had quite the career breakout at age 31 and what a career year at age 32.
  9. Yeah, just saw it. That's a play Max makes >95% of the time. Wonder if going from sun to shade had anything to do with it. Either way, gotta give him a big fat E there.
  10. Welcome back, Jorge! It would be really nice to get on the board early for Keuchel. I also love the strong getaway lineup going into the 7 game road stretch, go get that division!
  11. In other news, the Royals blew a 9-0 lead to the White Sox.....and it's only the bottom of the 6th.
  12. He's still who I want in there with a 1 run lead and 3 outs to go.
  13. Oh, very true. Baseball reference just sorts it by coaches.
  14. Actually found what I was looking for. Before the current one, Rocco was 9/25, or 36% for getting calls overturned, which seems towards the bottom of the pack.
  15. Anyone have challenge stats for the year?
  16. I should have specified the other two. Lewis saw 5 pitches and only 1 was in the zone and struck out. Solano probably swung and missed at ball 4, but it was close.
  17. Going to need some better ABs than these ones if they are going to win this game.
  18. Yeah, Jax gave up the big hit to Stewart, but it was set up on an extremely lucky pop fly double by Lindor. That ball had a xBA of .070. The offense blew a magnificent game pitched by Pablo.
  19. Unfortunately that has always been Wallner's issue. Expecting anything below a 30% K rate probably isn't going to happen.
  20. Wallner also has to be smarter out there. He made another mistake last night letting Alonso take 2nd base, which he would score on the next hit. It's not the first time he has made questionable at best decisions with his arm.
  21. As someone who pretty meh about"waiver-gate".... this is why. Giolito was terrible with the Angels and continued on tonight.
