  1. Not a chance in hell they eat that money.
  2. Ooo I'm interested in seeing the numbers
  3. I don't believe there is a "pack" to be moved to the back of. Guardians will be ahead of us regardless. They can claim as many players as they want and still be ahead of the Twins.
  4. Use to be by league, but now everyone is mixed. Worst to best record.
  5. Injuries probably blew Larnach's chances. Hard to blame the team. If a player really wants to get back he has to put in the work and get back.
  6. I'm not sure they fixed him, but he remembered how to strike people out. 2022 he dropped to 10.7 K/9 which is almost 4 below his career average and 5 from the 2021 when he was very good. He bounced back this year and was averaging 16.3 with Kansas City. Could be a blip, could just be a down year, but I doubt the Royals really did anything to "fix" him.
  7. Not surprising. The Yankees are all but out of the race, he's been awful this year and it was just a team option for next year. They still have to eat the $8M on the option for next year.
  8. Maybe. Maybe not. Sisk in 2022 in AAA at age 25: 34.2 IP, 11.16 K/9, 4.67 BB/9, 0.00 HR/9, 2.08 ERA, 2.93 FIP. 3.74 xFIP Funderburk in 2023 in AAA at age 26: 52.0 IP, 12.98 K/9, 3.63 BB/9, 0.17 HR/9, 2.60 ERA, 2.35 FIP, 3.15 xFIP Their numbers aren't THAT different. Obviously Sisk is struggling with his new club this year, but here's hoping Funderburk is just a late bloomer and can be asset in the pen for year's to come. Having 2 lefties would pay some nice dividends.
  9. This question even being asked after his badly the Twins started this season with the bases loaded is just pretty insane.
  10. Less than ideal 2nd. Hope the bats came to play.
  11. The roster is in 100% better shape than it was this time last season..... thankfully. Late August last season Jake Cave, Gilberto Celestino and Sandy Leon were getting regular ABs. Caleb and Billy Hamilton were on the roster and Aaron Sanchez, Chris Archer and Dylan Bundy were all in the rotation. If they finish anything near like they did last year, something seriously probably has to go wrong.
  12. Well well well! I wonder what the move could be.
  13. I still don't know why we aren't bunting in the bottom of extra innings with the game tied. Leadoff men went 0-3 in that situation, not advancing the runner once. On a separate note, outside of the ugly 1/3 of an inning from Jax yesterday, the bullpen put up a line of: 18.2 IP. 9H. 3R. 1ER. 7BB. 17K. Good for an ERA of 0.48. Who saw that coming?
  14. Crappy way to end the game. Not that 2 runs was going to do the trick, but man I'd rather see a HR beat you than whatever that cluster was in the 9th.
  15. I don't believe Hader ever hit free agency. He was traded him Milwaukee to San Diego. Then San Diego extended him on a 1 year deal to avoid arbitration.
  16. Or the Rangers have lost 8 straight, and given up the division lead.... which at one point seemed inconceivable. They are down....pile that **** on.
  17. Honestly haven't paid that much attention to it, but spied that big number.
