    Meh, even with hustling he might not make it. The MAT failed attempt at a bunt in the 9th is looming much larger than that.

    I agree, gotta get to the 10th and give the offense a chance to put runs on the board. Duran gives your best chance at that.

    Isn't that baseball though? Twins saw something in moving Brock Stewert to the pen as well and it seemed to work out brilliantly until he hit the IL.

    Who is pretending? If Buxton can play, Taylor should be on the bench. Rocco hinted at possibly seeing him in CF this season. I don't know what the odds are if it actually happening obviously.

    Taylor has been everything advertised and more for the Twins, has been a huge addition with Buxton not being able to play CF for sure. But, if Buxton can play.......Taylor makes a good utlity OF and speed off the bench.

    Solano JUST misses the foul ball in the dugout which lead to 2 runs. Yelich JUST misses the HR from Taylor that was 2 runs. We are even now right?

    A waste of roster space? 2nd rough start in a row, but he had 5 very solid ones before that. Very much a "what have you done for me lately" take.

    Start having better AB's when you get the chance? Career line vs lefties: 43 PA, .119/.140/.238. 1 BB/14 K's. 2023 vs lefties: 25 PA, .120/.120/.280. 0 BB/7 K's. Yes, it's a SSS, but it's obvious he struggles mightily against lefties. Unless he is showing something different at practice, what argument does he have to get more AB's vs lefties? I'm good against RHP so give me more AB's against LHP or I want out? Come on now.

    Damn Jeffers looked very fooled there. Pushing 1 across is better than none though.

    And his agent would tell him to check his ego. He is a rookie who has struggled mightily against LHP. Earn the ABs. All this would do is cause a rift between him and the clubhouse. He is absolutely zero leverage.

    If Luplow is only going to get at max 1-2 AB in this game, does it matter if it's automatically known he will hit against a LHP in the 1st inning, or just possibly against a relief arm later? I don't have a problem with the pinch hitting, especially because Luplow is on this team for one reason and that is to bat against LHP.

    It's hard for me to blame the hitting coach when the players simply do not produce.
