  1. He didn't even screw up, Pena was in the right place at the right time.
  2. Only place on the field where they get 2 outs on that play. Just bad luck.
  3. Buxton is such a polarizing point of discussion around here. If AK was taken off the roster because of injury, I believe he's injured. For those saying....well he played yesterday. He was also removed out of yesterday's game without the platoon advantage. I'd rather have Buck on the roster than Gallo, Luplow or Gordon. If Rocco/the FO believe he can help, then so be it. There's a good chance we don't even see him put into the game.
  4. The Astros have one of the most playoff experienced core group of guys you will likely find out there. Experience and being around guys who have routinely played in big games matters. They haven't missed an ALCS since 2016, while this years team doesn't seem as strong, they still have some damn talented players. For the Twins you have a lot of guys playing in big games in the firs time in their career. I'm sure the butterflies are there, I am sure some are feeling more pressure than usual, I really think it comes with the territory. I do think a lot of guys pressed today. Huge win Sunday, home crowd and they got punched in the mouth out of the gates and never recovered. Re-group, hope the jitters of the big time game go away and lace up the spikes tomorrow. You can't teach experience.
  5. If AK makes the play you don't put Gray in that situation to begin with. Even knocking the ball down and getting the out at 1st is worlds different than 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out. Yes, Gray hung that pitch badly to Abreu and that is completely on him, but the error played big in setting that up.
  6. The bats need to show up as well. Continually failing to drive in runs will not win games either.
  7. Probably 3 at absolute most, but if he's getting 3 innings that early, this are probably out of hand.
  8. If AK doesn't whiff on the ball at 1st, you probably don't give up the 4 runs. Either way, a lot of blame to go around today. Royce had some awful AB's.
  9. This team isn't built on speed. Outside of MAT and Castro, there's very little of it. In not sure what you expected Rocco to do today. On the flip side, Houston scored 7 of 9 runs on HR today. Twins batters had plenty of chances with RISP to get back intriguing this game and failed.
  10. Poor AB? He worked a 2-1 count then smoked a ball 110.7 MPH. Overall it was a great AB with less than favorable outcome.
  11. That was before AK made a pretty dang big error in the field, struck out once and tapped out to the 2nd baseman on a weak swing. For all intents and purposes he was pretty useless today. I see nothing wrong with letting Solano hit for him there.
  12. Just a nice play from the D. Not the Twins day today.
  13. Royce has never been selective at the plate. At one point he had more career HR than he had walks. It's something he will need to work on. He's a free swinging and makes great contact a lot, but pitcher's do know how to take the bat out of hands at times.
  14. Because AK has been utterly useless today?
  15. Just blaming Rocco to blame Rocco because the Astros had a successful hit and run?
  16. Why is using Maeda considered punting? Because he did give up a run? I wouldn't want to see Jax-Thielbar-Stewert-Duran there. That leaves Paddack and Varland, you still had 4 innings today.
  17. Who do you trust up there hitting and running? The Twins have one hit all day. The only player in the lineup you probably want running is Castro anyways.....so they have had one chance all day to hit and run, and Julien ended up walking anyways.
  18. You are down 5-0 in the 6th and your offense can't produce ****. You potentially have 2 games in the next 3 days, why waste anyone you might need? Maeda has been pretty solid the last 2 months. What declares using him here as a "love affair"?
  19. Yet, the only hit was the Kep double in the 1st.
  20. To make something happen. Create a throw away, get out of the DP situation, just something to create a spark.
  21. Time for a break my man. Come back tomorrow with hopefully a better attitude.
  22. Rocco isn't going to against the splits based on a tiny SSS of postseason games. You might see Solano at 1B, but Julien and Wallner will be in the lineup against a RHP.
