He was asked to sacrifice Jeffers to 3rd. From wence Jeffers can score 7 different ways with one out.

He would score from 2nd on most singles.  I know he is slow as a C but still. I would think they would want to let a guy with some power hit.

Good to see someone else has a turntable.  I have to get a new cassette deck in the near future.  The one I got in 1985 is dieing.

I believe that I had that first Foreigner album in vinyl, cassette, CD and mp3.

It's not effective in this spot, I read somewhere.

Not effective early in the game, when trading outs for a single run may not be wise, as you diminish the possibility of a multi-run inning.  Very effective in the bottom of the 9th or extra innings where a single run wins the game.

Nothing in the sense that Jeffers didn't advance to third.  Could have made a difference if Jeffers was too far off of 2nd.  Although I am a but surprised that Wheels Jackson isn't running for Jeffers.  Isn't that why we have Jackson?

Im beginning to think Jackson's contract expressly prohibits him from playing in a game.

First of all, yes. But a sac bunt there is very defensible strategy. Scoring from third doesn't require a hit, and a single run ends the game.

Second of all...Ross? Some power??

Nowadays...you would have to have an APP to play it on a phone...times have changed..board games...too

Making cribbage boards was my specialty in shop class. Remember shop class? Must have made 7 or 8, coming in after school, for gifts at Christmas for all the relatives. It was a big hit.

He hit 20 HRs in the minors that is some power.  I am not saying he is a big time hitter but give the guy a shot.

I don’t like the bunt in that situation. Different situation if the guy is a good bunter which most of them, including Ross is not, They were lucky that he didn’t pop into a double play.
