I beg to differ...it's not Adam Ottavino...it's Recker. He's done the whole series with Provus.

Why is Cory calling him Adam.....it may be both

Game Day is stumbling today, never showed Wells getting a pitch then suddenly he is out on a challenge.

Varland was asked and said Luke would take him

The only man alive that could beat Varland is Fedko

The guy 've heard on there today is Recker. He just called him Anthony and he's talking about things from his/a catchers perspective, not a pitchers.

I'd consider myself as much a fan as anyone here...anyone...including you. Relax...have another beer...and enjoy the game...there's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with doing it.

Look up the definition of that word...twinks...it is a LBTQ term...

Part of this is on Shelton for not giving him some more opportunities especially when Buxton was hurt.  This is what Kelly did well, he kept the bench guys sharp by getting them in the lineup on a semi regular basis.  So they were ready to contribute when needed.  Maybe it wouldn't have helped Fedko, but he hasn't been put in a position to succeed.

To follow up, Fedko hasn't started a game or a plate appearance in 12 days, how do you expect him to perform.  Of course he is going to try and make something happen.  This is poor roster management by Zoll and Shelton.

Try something new called Google.

The television announcers for the Twins vs. Yankees game today on NBCSN and Peacock are Cory Provus on play-by-play, alongside color analysts Adam Ottavino and Anthony Recke

Absolutely loving this and hope it continues. Don't care if they're Judgeless.

Bart, relax, I know the term but all I think of if they call the that is one made by Hostess and it makes me hungry.

I believe they have shown that challenging on a 0-0 count is important as it changes the entire outcome of the AB depending on whether the count starts 1-0 or 0-1.  0-1 or 0-2 challenges make little sense as does most challenges with 2 outs, unless there are RISP.  I am glad that Shelton has told the pitchers not to challenge pitches.  Interviews with pitchers earlier this year suggest that they think everything near the plate is a strike.

Well,  no derogatory effect to Bell’s at bat this time. An outlier….. like Lewis’ 0-1 lost challenge yesterday (or recently, didn’t check if yesterday but that is what I remember) that he singled on with two strikes. Challenge System will soon be replaced by total, but as long as they are important in the present, they shouldn’t be used unless the game or at bat can truly be greatly affected, especially early in the game. My opinion. They are very valuable, and not trite.

But they have ruined the good tasting Twinkies. The ones made today are terrible.

So every failing player it is the managers fault, player should file suit.

Lordy what we will here when Culpepper gets whammied by Bigs.

A fan that calls his own team Twinkies and Twinks? Regardless of what they do, I never get that. But to each their own. Certainly a fan has that right. Sometimes our Twins may play like that, and I have heard apologists of the usage as claiming it is endearing, but it just feels playground abuse disrespectful to me.

My understanding was that it was in part a reference to the OG mascot, Twinkie the Loon

I haven't had a Twinkie in probably 40 years, but I certainly watch them just about every game. 😁

If I had to predict the rest of the game from the pitching side, Ryan will get the 7th.  If Ryan gets into any trouble, you'll have Morris.  Unfortunately, by default of bullpen rest, Laweryson would get the 8th and Gomez would get the 9th.  Not a save situation, but he hasn't pitched since Wednesday with a day off tomorrow in a not out-of-control game.

Laweryson better only see the field for the postgame handshake
