Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Why we ❤️👂👃baseball. Now that lunch is saved, should we hope for reinforcements from St Paul this afternoon? Who's even available, and is it more important to find bats right now or arms? Some names being Banda-d around: Raya, Royce, Gabby, Welcome home guys. A quiet reception awaits you. Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I was stuck at a family birthday party yesterday so I missed the carnage. To be 4-1 to start the trip and wind up at 4-6 is really disappointing. Others probably reached this conclusion earlier than I did - but...this team isn't going anywhere. The smoke and mirrors routine in April and parts of May, it was nice while it lasted. 100 losses remain on the table. IndyTwinsFan, hitterscount, Church of Kreidler and 2 others 5
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted June 1 Posted June 1 In fairness, if Pablo, Jeffers, Abel and Sands were healthy - perhaps it is a different outlook right now - but injuries are part of the game. Some teams have depth, others don't. Church of Kreidler and Patzky 2

Some teams have depth, others don't. I don't think any team can cover 5 potential SP on the IL at one time. SWR being horrible and getting DFAd also hurts - 6 spots to fill is a lot. Not getting a suitable back-up C this past off-season is on the FO, Jeffers couldn't stay healthy forever. The BP not being addressed in the off-season was kind of a crapshoot, the FO was counting on the guys that didn't make the rotation out of ST going to the BP, it worked until it didn't - either through injury or ineffectiveness. You can also add Lewis and Wallner as difference makers, if they played at even replacement level this team would be better. tarheeltwinsfan and Blyleven2011 2

jaimedude Verified Member Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Barrerio and Gaard were asking this question to Twins fans today on KFAN. What the hell is the Twins plan and what is ownership doing to make the Twins more competitive by gutting payroll and still playong abunch of old and 4AAA level players. . 20 years after the New stadium Target Field was approved. We heard for a decade from the Pohlads in the 1990's we needed a new stadium to be competitive and compete for a championship. Here we are in the year 2026 and Twins roster is full of guys getting at bats or playing every day that will not be here in 1 to 2 years. Barriero was asking what in heck is the actual discernible plan to develop players and be competitive team in the next 2 to 3 years. From what I can Jeremy Zoll and Tom Pohlad have no recognizable plan on the baseball diamond. I mean we're not doing extension's with Joe Ryan or Ryan Jeffers. Were not seeing the Twins turn to some of the younger players in St Paul. We all kniw injury's have played a role but this roster as constructed makes no sense. Dan on KFANeven questioned why Shelton was waxing nostalgic about all the Pirates young pitching and they have 8 more guys in the pipeline. Look at the White Sox they have sucked for better part of four years but they actually look like they give a crap and are developing players. Twins have been stuck in mediocre stinking land with the exception of 2023 for better part of 5 years. Seems to fit with the current five game losing streak. We all know there could be a lock out next year, but that is not guaranteed. At what point do the Twins pivot and try a new approach? What incentive other than liking baseball do we have to buy a ticket to Target Field? Does make a Twins fan wonder what is happening. KFAN was talking about this then they flipped to Siefert and Vikings football. Blyleven2011 and mrtwinsfan 2

They want him at 100% before playing in the field. But it is getting old and seeing Clemens in CF is not a solution. Again why are Outman and Kreidler even on this roster. It would be nice if we had some reporters in this town that would actually track Zoll down and ask what the plan is. Richie the Rally Goat, jaimedude, hitterscount and 1 other 4
