Agreed. Pittsburgh and Chicago White Sox have been drafting at the top of the draft for a long time. It should eventually pay off for them with right manager and staff, development staff. Kind of like San Antonio Spurs in NBA, they have accumulated promising young talent.

I agree 100%, I think the problem was Joe actually worked in the marketing department and had an office at Target field.  I think he developed a relationship with Falvey from that time working with him as more of a peer and it became a blind spot to evaluating his performance.  And that is where I blame the Pohlad family for not having a clean handoff to the next generation because it has set this team back.

Man Larnach does not want to be with Twins any longer. It shows at the plate. He's wasn't staring at so many hittable pitches last year and just watching them go by.

This whole season started with a black cloud when Pablo Lopez hurt his elbow in Spring training all these starting pitching injury's piling up effect bullpen, defense all of it. Ready to start seeing some of what the younger guy's in rhe Saints have to offer. Even if they are not fully ready. Nice inning by Matthews in the 4th.

This team has regressed to a background screensaver for the rest of the season. Lineup sans Buxton can't hit and every pitcher not named Ryan either gets hurt or implodes after a few appearances. No healthy exciting prospects either.

Offense has looked pretty good until today. Defense and pitching cost us the last two games.

Atlanta went through a similar run last year. The Yankees and the Orioles had similar runs of starting pitcher injuries. It is basically a cost of maximum effort hurling in the 2020s. Actually, I'd rather have the injuries occur so now rather than in August so that the Twins aren't fooled about being contenders.

It’s nice that Buxton gets a day off to rest. I’m sure DH is very tiring. Or at least it would be if you get on base very often unlike what Buxton has done as a DH.

At some point development stops in the minors if not being challenged by consistent competition. AAA pitchers are nowhere near as good as MLB pitchers, it’s like the G-League in basketball…. when you’ve done everything you can in the minors the overall philosophy has to be to bring them up, if there’s a need or spot to play, I don’t care about their age, it’s meaningless. I ran into brewers player from the 80’s  team who is still connected to the team , we talked ball over a few beers and the topic of manipulation of players service time to maintain control….he fully believed that it does more damage than good,, when you’re performing and being held back it can have adverse effect, you can either play or you can’t… when your first big league chance comes at 25. 26 or older it put a ton of pressure on perform immediately1) to stay up 2) to be around long enough to get a contract that sets them up financially. We have players that could help this lineup, we choose not to. Watching this uninspiring lineup is depressing.
