Andrew Morris and Ryan Kreidler getting called up.

That is the easy route.  I would MUCH prefer Culpepper. Maybe for only a week.  Plenty of players could come off the roster to make room.

3 teams with positive run differential in the American League. Three! And a negative 78 differential for the AL as a whole. 33-52 head to head vs the NL. That’s a .612 clip for the NL! .388 for the AL.

Wow! You could notice the trend scoreboard-watching, but when I look at the numbers it’s even worse. Horrific showing by the AL so far. Man, maybe the Twins CAN ‘compete’ in the AL this year.

The difference between the Dodgers & Cubs vs the Angels & White Sox is huge.

Lewis back to IL.... Not extending Lewis in 2023-4 is one of the best decisions the Twins have made in the last 5 years

That cannot be correct as Derek Falvey was the GM……….and we all know he did nothing right!

Potentially auditioning Kriedler to be able to make a move with Outman ………. Clemens over the next couple weeks?

Banda, Rogers, Topa have their tickets punched ro St Paul and/or DFA.

Hawkins: You are supposed to do SOMETHING with these BUMS!

Shelton: 3 of your guys got HBP.  No Retaliation??  No Complaints?? No Arguments??

Show some backbone, defend your team.  Blow up and get tossed out !!

The Wallner facing lefty's move needs to change - it's not working.

Drop Buxton down in the batting order until he starts to HIT.  Bench him for a couple games and let him think about it and to work on his hitting.

Gray shouldn't have been in there against a lefty: what in the hell were you thinking?

Quicker hook on SWR.  Expect a Better Bullpen from Hawkins.

Defending Matt Wallner is “not my thing” but having to face 8 lefty starters in the first 14 games is not in his wheelhouse…not really a fair situation for a guy that’s pretty limited.….. However, he was 5-20 (.200) going into last night v. lefties and he’s hitting .220ish overall, so he’s not a bunch different v. either side. 46.6% strikeout rate and still leading the League with 28 total in 60 PA’s.

I agree - would like to see an alternative - the Kriedler call up may allow for this?

I think Wallner is no great shakes in the outfield but he is probably better than Gonzalez.

Not sure why one would think Wallner (other than experience at Target) would/could be a “better” OF than nearly anyone playing OF in the Twin’s system? No instincts and slow are no way to play OF……..while often throwing the ball to nobody!

SWR was apparently ill from what I’ve seen here, so given a pass.

Wallner’s spinning pirouette in RF gave Toronto fuel and flustered SWR, apparently. The Cardinal Sin was throwing a belt high fastball to Giménez on a 0-2 count………reeked of immaturity……… then the homer a pitch or two later……..He lost command in the zone and then his ability to focus. Again, in the moment, his actions, expressions, and performance seemed immature - unusual for him as a rule.

Again, if he was gutting out a start, while ill, he deserves a break.

Gonzalez is Wallner minus the arm.

If Wallner makes that catch, it's on every single highlight reel for MLB. His last adjustment to change from looking over the right shoulder to looking at it over the left shoulder while running back put him out of position. Wallner made a near impossible catch look "possible" but he didn't make it.

But 50% of this site absolutely hates the guy. So what can you do? LOL

You're delusional, calling that a near impossible ball. You've been watching Twins corner outfielders for too long it seems.

This is a poor team defensively and that is all there is to it. Gray made a terrible throw to first as well as Wallner unable to make the catch in RF just adds to extra outs and extra pitches being thrown. And after the 110 MPH line drive past Buxton that should have been the end of SWR night. If the manager knew he was sick the BP should have been there to back him up.

He literally didn't have to move.

The same people complaining about mediocrity are shouting from the rooftops to keep mediocre (or less) players out there.  It's craziness really.  Stand in place, make catch, inning over, different ballgame.

Or .... not trading Lewis and Julien after the 2023 season was a bad decision. Lots of ways to look at things. The Twins are trying to look forward this year. Me too.
