Gleeman:

Matt Wallner is just the second player in Twins history to go 0-for-5 with five strikeouts in a game.

Twins Hall of Famer Bob Allison also did it on September 2, 1965.

I think Royce picked up the skill of bouncing balls to 1st from CC.  Correa did that a lot but obviously had quite a bit more control over the delivery than Royce.  Seems like I remember the TV broadcast covered that last year as way to improve Royce's fielding.  I'm not sure he graduated from the class before CC was traded though.

if that’s what’s happening then yeah he needs more practice. There are times when the bounce throw works, but it still needs to be on target and easy for the first baseman to handle. C4 would throw them when he was on the move laterally or deep in the hole. Royce is often moving towards first base and just basically overthrows the ball. Not sure if his arm just isn’t strong enough or if he doesn’t have the confidence that it is.

Gray’s homer cleared the wall at its apex.  That thing was a laser.

If you’re gonna slog through a cold wet miserable afternoon, might as well win.  Hopefully Buxton isn’t too bad

That’s why I’m not including John Moses. Wouldn’t be fair to Bell and Santana.

You are in good company.  Many people choose to not include John Moses in anything.

I looked and he did have his career year with Minnesota in 1988.
