Actually it came out once last fall. He did another interview this spring - basically said he was being stubborn and that he had always pitched without a scouting report. Had been encouraged to do it before and brushed it off. I think the trade helped him grow up a bit. ashbury 1

Correa did that a lot but obviously had quite a bit more control over the delivery than Royce. Seems like I remember the TV broadcast covered that last year as way to improve Royce's fielding. I'm not sure he graduated from the class before CC was traded though. Patzky 1
