The A's aren't winning many games, but it's hard not to be jealous about how many of their young hitters are, you know, hitting.

I'm guessing they don't fire Mark Kotsay while they're playing in Sacramento, but if they do, I'd be interested. Or at least I'd be interested in whomever is involved in getting the most out of these young guys.

Cant wait for The Joe Ryan Experience! Also cant wait for the bullpen to blow our lead!

I hope Ryan v. Lopez isn't a matchup we see much of in the coming seasons.

My hope is that they will stop with this TBD stuff and promote Able and Taj Mahal. The season is burnt toast and new life makes it interesting.

We were all clamoring to see Joe Ryan immediately after the Nelson Cruz trade. Whatever their reasons were, they waited until September 1st to call him up. Since that worked out for them (when not much else has) my money is on them waiting another 12 days.

Bradley has 67 MLB starts. They're waiting till Sep 1st?

I had Abel in mind, but both have made more MLB starts than Ryan ever did.

If I was to try to rationalize all of the Twins illogical behavior, I'm not sure this makes the top ten list.

I don't think they are waiting until Sep 1st for Bradley.  As you say, he has quite a bit of MLB experience at a young age.  I saw an interview with him.  He is working on his split finger at AAA:

My guess is they will want to see if he can continue starting at the MLB level after he starts getting more consistent results with his pitches.  Even though he struggled this year, he had a sub 4 ERA heading into June.

Abel and Taj just pitched so maybe after the Sox series they'll get the call.

Why is Wallner batting 9th? Yeah we get it, the horror of a left handed hitter facing a left handed pitcher! NOOOOOOOOOOO!

But Larnach is batting 3rd and Wallner actually has reverse splits this year.

This ain't a horrible lineup..no Julien no Outman no Gasper and Fitzgerald is again the invisible man.

Maybe ninth will wake up Wallner's bat. Buck lead off is the only way to go.. ever.

Joe Ryan coming into tonight's game

T-2ND (W)

4TH     (ERA)

6TH      (SO)

2ND      (WHIP)

5TH      (OPPBA)

and I still get people telling me hes not an ace. Whatever happens from. Here on out, it will be a dominant year for Joe Ryan.

He continues to get better. I am so glad we didn’t trade him.
