So Mrs Chief brought home this parrot. Don't even know where she got it, but the thing never shuts up. Just constant blabbing, and what's worse, he swears. "F that" and "Polly wants a ******* cracker" all day long.

Well, I got tired of it. I warned the darn bird if he didn't knock it off, I'd lock him in the freezer. 

"F you old man" he screams.

So...I took him out of his cage, marched over to the chest freezer, put him in, and closed tbe top.

Well, I could still hear him yelling at me. The most foul language imaginable. Names I hadn't heard in a quarter century in the military.  Until...after about a minute he suddenly went silent.  Not a sound. No sound of movement. 

I got worried so I opened up the freezer, and there stood the parrot...basically at attention.

"I'm very sorry for my language sir," he said. "I promise I'll never do anything like that again. ... But...if you would be so kind...what did the chicken do?"
