He just recently has risen 2 spots on the list😃 He wasn't even an honorable mention on Fangraphs (merely pointing out it is hard to trust only 1 source in rankings). I hope the other people are right! Danchat 1

S Bart Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 So an 18 year old yesterday and a 17 year old today obtained via trades. Pretty soon they will be reaching down to the middle school age group. I guess the rebuild is being prepared for the next decade. NotAboutWinning, Nshore, Danchat and 1 other 1 3

BiggestRoccoFan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The problem I see with trading all of our good bullpen arms with cheap contracts does not make a ton of sense to me. Stewart and Duran with 2-3 years of team control and they are cheap arms. There is not a free agent worth crapping on that is going to want to come here. How do they think they are going to replace all of these arms??????????????????????????????????????
Dman Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 I thought the Bader signing was going to be a mistake especially when he came up to bat. I thought it was a nothing move. Couldn't have been more wrong. Absolutely loved watching the hustle, the great plays in the field, Hitting for power and just finding ways to get on base. Guy always looked like his head was in the game and he was a great teammate. I will miss him. Thank you Mr. Bader for a great season and the amazing plays you make in the filed. I know the Twins like Mendez and likely believe in the power, but since they are getting rid of arms it would be nice to get some arms back. I don't hate the return it is about what you would expect for Bader. I do like the 16 year old arm better though. With Castellanos already pitching well in the DSL the Twins are building up some interesting young arms for the future. I think it is a sneaky good move. Hoping they both work out. laloesch Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Latest news. Twins and Stros still talking about Correa.
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 This return seems fine. I instantly wondered if Dombrowski went to bed last night feeling guilty. My offer a week ago was Duran, Bader, Castro, and Coulombe for Painter and Crawford. I don't know nothing. Glad to have 2 bodies returned for Bader. I was worried the Twins wouldn't trade him.

He's having a good year at AA as a 21 year old. https://www.mlb.com/milb/prospects/phillies/hendry-mendez-694230 It's about what I expected the Twins would get. I don't love it, I don' hate it. I don't see him on any list I've checked
Whitey333 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Well the sell off had to happen. And selling rental players seldom gets you much. So it is what it is. However let's not forget that Falvey built this so called baseball team. He is mainly, but not solely to blame for tge Twins having to do this. Baldelli is joined at the hip with Falvey. They both need to go if and when the team is sold. It's really the same old thing for Twins. Trade for prospects and hope. We've seen so many of these prospects come and go. .mostly go. While Falvey co veniently blames everything on injuries, bad luck and bad umpiring, it is his responsibility for the state of the team. Even if he doesn't take responsibility. The Twins are a mess due in large part to Falvey

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Nice lotto ticket and a dude hitting well in AA sounds good by me. Bader might be likable, but he's not supee valuable. I like the return. Dman 1
DJL44 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 I think the Twins shed the $3M commitment they had to Bader which will bring their total salary decrease to ~$10M when this is through. Getting paid $3M to take two prospects is a good deal. It’s nearly impossible to mess up a pure rental trade. NotAboutWinning and Dman 2
