Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 The good news is that we’ll certainly only have to fill 8 innings tonight

AceWrigley Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Boy, if it wasn't for Carlos' error, we'd only be down by 7.
Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 My theory is that everyone is pressing too hard. You hear it from the interviews because one of the questions all of the pitchers have been asked is if they feel more pressure now that Pablo and Zebby are out for months. Pitchers feel they have to be perfect because they are getting no run support. Then when they miss, they get hammered. Batters are just looking lost up there and feel like they have to hit a 3 run home run every time they come up. One kind of feeds the other and everything blows up at once. It’s kind of funny how losing zebby is always lumped in with losing Pablo. This isn’t a knock on the young man, but he had exactly 19 IP before going in the IL. 3 of his 4 starts were 5 innings or less. It obviously doesn’t help the situation, but how much pressure should everyone feel losing a guy with 19 IP all year knothole61, Vanimal46, Danchat and 3 others 6
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 There needs to be a scientific study done with the Twins against soft tossing lefty pitchers Danchat and Richie the Rally Goat 2

I think he gets lumped in mainly because losing Zebby really thinned out the rotation fast. Also, you'd prefer Zebby in the rotation over SWR. shortround81 and Aggies7 2
