Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 That was our primary jersey for the first 5 ish seasons at Target Field… I’m guessing that’s a young Jorge Polanco Richie the Rally Goat, Cory Engelhardt, ashbury and 1 other 4

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 Jacque used to whack the plate with his bat and then twirl it like a baton. I don't remember the pointing the bat at the pitcher bit. I'll also go with Polanco. Vanimal46 1
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 Jorge Polanco has bigger hands. I'll guess Jacque Jones.

Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Is this not something where once someone guesses the answer and the chain ends right? I have to think Jacque Jones is the answer now, But since we don’t have closure I’m curious if we still have to keep guessing Strombomb and Jerr 2

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Jones is a good answer. But I'm going to say Denard Span.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Jacque Jones left the Twins in 2005 so there’s no chance he played a home game outdoors like the picture. Which reduces it down to either Revere or Polanco. And Revere was a slender build. So I feel pretty good about this one being Polanco thanks to the clear #11 jersey #. Richie the Rally Goat and Hosken Bombo Disco 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Revere got a little stocky later, if I recall. However I will guess Revere too, an early version of Revere in his first spring training invite?

Crowd in the background appears to be Oriole fans, so this is in Baltimore, not a home game. Strombomb and ashbury 2

I picked Polanco, but it might be Jones. But it would be Jones in a spring game in 2010 when he briefly rejoined the organization but never made the big league club. That photo was definitely more recent than when we were accustomed to Jacque playing. And the spectator in the Panama hat says that's Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, not Camden Yards in Baltimore. You’re right! Target Field has the limestone between the dugouts to the backstop, and the green fence is higher down to the foul poles. Jorge at Spring Training
