I think they need Varland for one more start with 27 games and only 2 days off. Maybe this week.

What's the deal with Kiersey? I know he's 'old' for AAA but come on. Helman is a year older and he's mostly a middle infielder. With Margot out, made perfect sense to give Kiersey a look. Disappointed.

Probably chose Helman due to his versatility? Looks like Varland will pitch on Wednesday against the rays.
