So, everyone knew that Marte was going to wear it for the HBPs to Correa and Buxton?  The advantage of hitting a guy in the bottom of the ninth was that no one would retaliate for the retaliation.

The way I understand it, we had an open spot on the 40 man.  Festa filled the 40th slot.

Twins batters are indeed getting hit a lot, leading the majors or close to it.  But their pitchers are around the middle of the pack for hit batsmen, so it's not like they're shying away from pitching inside.  I'm not in favor of retaliation in most cases.

I was all for retaliation. Correa's the franchise player (for now, Royce is on his heels). If he gets hit, you hit one of theirs. Simple for me.
