Doesn’t have to be intentional to warrant a response. You’re in the majors, control your pitches. Been going on all year.

When you hang out on the inner edge of the plate, bad things are going to happen.  The race for velo has eroded the command of said pitches and a lot of these young guys can't handle the inside edge of the plate like their predecessors could.

I'd rather the umpires warn the Dbacks pitchers. Next hit batter, someone is out. And I agree, the pitchers need better control, that's the problem. But retaliating by intentionally hitting someone from their team? No. I think that's dumb. just my opinion.

Well, when teams know they can recklessly pitch inside with no risk to their own players…it’s going to continue. Y’all act like someone is going to die, just talking about a heater to the backside. That’s all

I'd like to see an Arizona intential HBP just to see if the batter goes after their own pitcher like Delmon Young did as a Twin.

So it’s our fault now?

Tit for tat, I say.

But it's not tit for tat when one it doing it intentionally and one is not. And once you start go directly at people, that's when someone gets hit in the head.

But when you are talking about pitchers not having the best control, and you start aiming at players, it's not a good combo. And where does it end? They do it, we do it, they do it again, etc. Not a good plan. I don't know the answer, but I know that isn't it.

If your going to retaliate then retaliate right in the ribs

Listen, thielbar and sands aren’t great but I trust they won’t miss by 3 feet

It's not like we are getting hit intentionally. I don't believe in that kind of retaliation. Not sure the answer, but to respond by intentionally hitting someone for not intentionally getting hit is just plain stupid, imo. And potentially dangerous.

I agree that was a bit strong of a response, in hindsight.  I certainly don't disagree with what you're saying.

I just feel that we need to be less passive in these situations than we've shown in the recent past.

Well, you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I just don't think it's a good response.

C4 possibly breaking his wrist in a 14-5 game is so Minnesota

C4 didn't break his wrist. If it's broke, the Dbacks did.

Hopefully he learned not to say stupid crap like "I dont do slumps"

That part of the quote was taken so out of context....he said his mindset is that he doesn't do slumps.  Went on to say that the next day is a whole new game and you get to do it all over again.......he is absolutely the opposite of arrogant.

Well. so far on Festa-vus, I'm seeing many feats of strength from the Twins but virtually no airing of grievances from the commentariat.

I like that combo. Hope it stays that way.

We've got grievances with Arizona now.

He definitely doesn't seem to be the arrogant type.

I knew you'd take it that way.  🙄

Well, you led with “don’t lean over the plate”, if they even were

I couldn't agree more.

Our bullpen isn’t good enough to give anyone a free pass on a hbp. Good way to start a big inning…. just throw strikes and win the damn game.
