THIS is the type of appearance Theilbar should have started this season on. Not in a high leverage game to win against Detroit. Looks like the "Paddack on a pitch count" supposition is not correct. No matter how horrible he is pitching, he is going to go around 90.

Great catch by Buxton. I don't think it wise to give that dangerous effort in a game like this, though, as your manager threw in the towel long ago. I hope we don't hear tomorrow how he is hurt.

No point risking Buxton any more in this game/fiasco, and Rocco should let the worst pitchers finish this (or a position player).

Yep, just forfeit the game and admit that the team is a bunch of losers.

How does noting an odd occurrence happening tonight infer at all that one might prefer a K to a one pitch out? It doesn't in my book. But I am just an observing 3rd party,.......

This is feeling eerily similar to 2016. Out of the race before the race begins.

Et tu, Brutus?

Good thing this wasn't a close playoff game with that fan interfering. It sure looked to me like he reached into the field just a bit. Buxton's glove was right under it. We all deserved to see it play out without the nimrod reaching out there. But it really is a meaningless call for this blowout. Probably why the call stood. No reason to ruffle the hometown crowd. Still.........

But get Buxton out of the game. No need for him to foolishly jump up against the wall in this game, for the 3rd time.

It sure would be nice to have some heroes on the ball field this year like all these other teams have...... and score the runs when it matters instead of the low pressure game already over innings.
