Not sure what Rocco is trying to accomplish with this game, but I have my doubts that they've accomplished any of it thus far, at least on a pitching perspective.

My guess is that he is just getting reps in for the players, especially those who need them. I doubt that much evaluation is expected or happening.

Okay, I don’t think Ryan has lost his spot, but it might reduce confidence in him to pitch deep in a possible Game 3.

Stewart gave up two weak contact singles, but got a strikeout to keep Colorado off the board.

Will Funderburk make the WC roster?

While I think he's deserving, I think a lot depends on the opponent and whether Rocco wants a second lefty in the pen.

I agree. But surely none of the starters, most especially Ryan, is going to have a long leash if they aren't dominating. Maeda and probably Ober are there to come in in the early innings if needed and bridge to the shut-down part of the bullpen. I'm more worried about whether there is, indeed, a shut-down part of the bullpen.

Lopez and Gray will start G1 and G2

Maeda looks will be in the pen

with the poor performance today Ryan will not get G3 nod

it doesn't make sense he being in the roster

So your stance is that through 28 starts the Twins felt Ryan was good enough for the game 3 start that they set him up on the timeline to be able to start that game, and moved Maeda to the pen, but since start 29, in the best hitter's park on the planet didn't go well they're not only not going to start him in game 3, but they're not even going to roster him? Dang, that was one heck of an influential last start.

I don't think Kriloff is ever going to be the player the Twins hoped for. I think the wrist is still a problem. Look at his swings. They're wild and mostly all arms.

Yeah. They need to get Nolan Ryan. Can't have a 2nd year pitcher throwing in the playoffs. The sky might fall

What ever you say.

So far so good on trying to keep everyone healthy. Not sure they are trying to accomplish much else.

Um nope. I was at the game and Polo went down after a swing and miss strike three and left the game.

Honestly it’s a weird situation to finish the season at Coors Field.  The thin air messes with players swings.  I hope that these games don’t have too big an impact on their hitting come Tuesday.  It usually takes a game for hitters to readjust.  In some ways it’s good that Correa, Lewis and Buxton aren’t there but are instead getting a bunch of live ABs in the Twins Cities.

No. It's more like whatever you say. The gospel according to RpR. 😄

If you say so.👺
