Danchat Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 So far, so decent from Wallner. Gallo gets to be DFA'd ASAP, but of course the FO won't give on him despite his horrific play.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Stick a fork in Gallo. He’s cooked at the plate. Danchat and wsnydes 2
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Is Gallo worse than Sano was? Seems like he get's a "pass" where as Sano would have had "total system failure" assigned to him.

RpR Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Gallo's swing looks like Buxton's, baseball version of air-guitar.

When you can play above average corner OF, fill in at CF and play 1st base, it helps out. If Sano could play + defense in RF or LF he would still be in the league. wsnydes, Jocko87, MABB1959 and 2 others 5

Gallo has defensive value. Sano didn't. That's basically the difference. RpR and SwainZag 2

AceWrigley Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 The Mariners have been hammering fastballs up in the zone, why do we keep throwing them to them.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 what a horrible game so far. Pitching has been dreadful. Yeah 3 solo HR's for us and a ton of k's too. Ryan didn't have a thing today. And the pen has been no better. Yikes. Since the 8th inning last night, Mariners are owned our pitching staff.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 My bad! Tried to balance my posts with a positive one. Should have known that would happen…
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 6 games over .500 is flying way too close to the sun for the 2023 Twins
insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Gallo has fanned 13 of his last 18 AB's. I honestly don't think that the occasional HR can justify keeping in the lineup. I hope the Twins release him. Can't imagine anyone who replaces him to possibly be worse, I understand he is decent defensively but way too much of a liability at the plate to offset...if you consider your team to be a post season contender. USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Jovani Moran changed the course of this series with his incredibly awful 3 batter performance last night. Cruising to a 6-2 win, everyone feeling great, players playing loose and free, Seattle drudging along to a loss, then boom. mrtwinsfan, Parfigliano and RpR 3
