I'm guessing not a lot.  What contender really wants a guy who can go 4 or 5 innings and then completely fall apart at the blink of an eye?

Only a team that's extremely desperate, IMO.

Every contender will want a decent SP. Esp an All star. Look what the twins gave up last year when everyone knew they had no real shot.  Reds are loving spencer steer

A little?

I'm not.  He has his normal hiccup.  This time it was a big belch, but he did keep himself from upchucking.

On Buxton, I guess the question is his health. Is he more injured than he was at the beginning of the season? The team knows--the trainer, the manager, etc.--and if he is as healthy or more so, there is no reason to expect that he won''t hit as he has the past few years if he's acceptably healthy. None of us fans know that answer. We've seen Buxton  slump and then get really hot and while it is frustrating to watch him slump, eventually things will even out.

I will add that the slump may be deepened by being a DH. He's probably thinking too much.

Yikes, they must really want to save the bullpen.

There's saving the bullpen, and then there's leaving the shrink wrap on the bullpen so you can return it without paying the re-stocking fee.

I don't necessarily disagree.  However, the potential "haul" gets smaller with each outing that goes like the recent ones, including this one.

Gray is by far the best rental piece out there, not counting Ohtani.

Giolito?

Sorry I'm late. So, this article didn't age well?

It got pretty scathing reviews right and left, if I recall.

I think it would be pretty hard to say that today.  Seemingly, in the last month or so, he's been unraveling right before our eyes.

The only thing I can figure is Cole Sands is in the witness protection program.

Oh Cole, Cole, have you been threatening witnesses again?

And gave up another run, due in part to his continued inability to find the strike zone with something resembling a quality pitch.

With numbers like his, that's probably the safest place for him now.
