stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Zero walks so far for Lewis. He chased ball four that time.

CRF Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Maybe that'll wake CC up and he'll get something going.
umterp23 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Polanco tight hamstring. IL bound and if that is the case do bring Wallner back and sit Kepler? Let's hope that is the transaction if his hamstring makes him hamstrung

RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 When Ober loses it, he really loses it.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 ....and just like that it is all over - enjoyed the 5 minutes we held the lead
umterp23 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Just like that TB shows why they are best team in baseball
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2023 Author Posted June 8, 2023 That was fun while it lasted.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Poor Ober. He knows the lack of a Twins offense puts him in jeopardy of losing this game.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 81 mph slider isn't the same as a fastball.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Seems every time we get a lead and then gives it back. I've had enough, by-bye.

TwinsDr2021 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 On the radio they said they had a chance to get Raley at third, but instead the throw went home and had no chance to get him.

killebrewlover Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 It's offensive to call this an offensive team. Can't believe they're actually +37 in run differential??!!
killebrewlover Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 So sad to have to admit this. But I'm so frustrated and bored with the Twins, I actually considered switching my attention (and channel) to an episode of General Hospital on TV...
RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 I talked to my lawyer about filing a class action suit against the Twins. Basically, charging them with fraud and illegal insterstate commerce. He suggested that so many would join in on the lawsuit, that the pay out would be inconsequential.
umterp23 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Correa had a chance but weekly popped up to right and so it goes, can't hit with runners in scoring position.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 KIrilloff and Lewis hopefully will be good players going forward. Seven years in for Falvey who else do they have to build around? A few maybe he'll be good and not much else imo.
OvertheHill Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Walks. Why'd it have to be walks.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Jax for Ober is an upgrade, right now. Let's watch and see.
MABB1959 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 It seems like yesterday, Lewis was hot and we had a 3 game winning streak. Couldn't wait to watch them continue. Now we are close to a 5 game losing streak with mostly unwatchable games. Losing 2-1 was okay, still a competitive game. But we all know being down even one run is a danger zone. If they can't get it going this game they will fall under .500 and Cleveland too close.
hitterscount Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Just a few innings from falling below .500. The most frustrating part is the lack intensity, fight, execution…. every aspect a reflection of the guy leading the team from the dugout (also some credit to Buxton and Correa). Some changes are necessary/needed. Start with relieving the manager. Move on to DFAing Salano and Kepler, send Garlick down and get some guys up that want to play.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Anyone seen analysis if this early pinch-hitting strategy is working for us? Maybe doesn't matter since no one is hitting.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Sloppy baseball - Minnesota trademark these days. Team used to be know for fundamental play.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Where's the line in the sand drawn? When we're 10 games below .500, 20 ?, 30?........never?
