"Nasal" is a good word on both. 

In addition to the word pictures that I referenced with Hughes on the radio side, he's a really good "teacher" of different aspects of baseball, explaining things well to people who aren't diehards, but not insulting the intelligence of those who know the game well.

He and Ron Santo had an incredible rapport, back in the day. The same magic isn't there with Ron Coomer, at least yet.
