A sad day indeed. On a day of celebrating our moms. It sad to hear when someone loses theirs. Condolences Mr. Kershaw and anyone else who've lost mothers.

I lost mine in 2018, I know the pain

Just like a golf ball, a properly struck baseball does not care about the wind. 🤣

I doubt that, sir.  The wind exerts a force on the ball whether it's spinning or not.  That cannot be questioned.

The only sticking point there is that she's a regular on the Lynx' broadcasts, which occur during the summer.  Otherwise, I agree.

Public service announcement time:

If there is a way to get the Twins Radio broadcast from today get it. I was listening to the game on the radio and in the Twins half of the third Marney Gellnor was a guest. It was by far the funniest and best half inning I have ever listened to. I had no idea she was that funny and witty. You will thank me later.

It helps to already like Marney, otherwise the joshing around and the mildly incoherent play calls would be hard for a newcomer (such as a fan of the opposing team) to take - we make fun of the other team's broadcast when it isn't buttoned down and understated.  And I wouldn't like it all the time, or even very often.  But, as a "welcome back" from a very rough turn of events for her, it was a fun listen.  And we already know that under normal broadcast circumstances she's all business at the microphone.

How dare you.  As Ernest Rutherford said, all science is either Physics or Stamp Collecting.   :)

Last i paid attention, golf and base balls are inanimate, and, like the fabled honey badger, don't care about wind even if they are improperly struck.

But then again, i am not the best at anthropomorphsims...
