WTF are you talking about?

Ryan gave up three runs, they all count not just the last ones.

So the starter should throw a shutout every time out. Ok. That’s like saying a batter that went 1-3 is to blame because he didn’t go 3-3

You expect the relievers to throw a shut-out every inning?

Ryan gave up a home run and so did Pagan, what is the difference.

Ryan got us 18 outs. Pagan was asked to get 3 and hold a 2 run lead. And he couldn’t.

You said six innings of Ryan, not 3 runs allowed. Employing as if Ryan pitching 4 innings instead of 6 would have better.

For all the hand-wringing about the pitching staff this year, you'd think that was this team's main problem.

The bats have heated up for a game or two here and there, but overall this has been a well below-average offensive team. If Buxton's hot, it's must-see TV. If he's not, the team is almost unwatchable.

The Twins have scored 300 runs so far, good for 4th in the AL. In aggregate 4th is above average, no?

Roy pointed out something I’ve been thinking too.  Jeffers framed a would be strike three pitch that didn’t need it and forced the ump to call it a ball.

Ryan gave up 5 hits in the first three inning and three runs, simple as that.

I’m really not a fan of Manfred Ball in extra innings. It’s not as bad as the shootout in hockey, but definitely #2 in worst ways to end a game in the major sports.

Twins were leading 5-3 when Pagan gave up his HR, offense and starting pitcher did their jobs. I understand Ryan was losing 3-2 when he was lifted, but he pitched good enough to give the team a chance to win.

And he pitched three more scoreless innings, keeping his team in the game

OK, the first three runs do not count.

I usually stay positive, not always, but a lot of the negative posters bring up valid points, and they’re a big part of this site.

We don’t want to be negative, but after 61 years and only 3 of those years ending the way we wanted them to…. it hardens a body.

We have seen this show before so many times…. it’s predictable.

That’s 4 strikeouts in extra innings with a man in scoring position

Urshela has 3 strikeouts tonight.   He needs to be traded.
