He didn’t look happy in the dugout. If it’s not his decision to come out, I can’t imagine a long time vet like he is couldn’t stay in if he pushed

Sure, he could have gone back out, but he wasn’t getting two outs, maybe not one. I’d rather have a reliever come on to a clean inning than have to warm up in a hurry or dry hump him

To many more on this site, Shoemaker was a form of poison.

Really dont like this.  Archer is inning away from a W.  Bad for confidence, morale

That was always the plan with Archer and Bundy, to ride-them-out/piggy-back them until you can't. They are placeholders, not long-term plans.

I know they aren’t long term guys, but you can’t have tw guys in the rotation Who require five bullpen innings every start. We’re now using a guy in the 5th who should be used in the later innings. I don’t think this is sustainable all season long

I think Archer has a pretty good idea of what the plan for him is. He’s not a rookie, I’m sure he’s fine

Probably not much happier watching the Tigers launch rockets against Griffin "No Mystery" Jax.

You can if you have enough multiple multi inning relievers it’s possible, but this team doesn’t have enough quality relievers.

Yeah, he was raking it before he got hurt. Now, he looks like he's raking leaves.

What was his rehab assignment? Like a couple of games? Didn't they make the same mistake with Kiriloff?

Heh... just catching up between classes- usually watch the oppo broadcast on MlbTv-

Tigers color-man one pitch before the launch:  "Kepler's one of those guys that, with one swing of the bat, it could get ugly."

Bang.

With Buxton slumping, it's time to move Arraez to the leadoff spot. When Buxton was rolling, there was no reason to mess with it. But now he's not. Let Arraez start the game by getting on base literally half the time.

No kidding- it's check swing after check swing right now.  He needed some time on the farm to get the kinks out.  I don't know what his injury was, but he looks like a guy right now who's trying not to get hurt.

You can if they piggy back each other, go 4 innings each, and more often than not give the bullpen the night (mostly) off.  So far the Twins have been mostly unable, and potentially unwilling, to treat Bundy and Archer that way, which is the only way that makes sense anymore.

Look, you're asking for the perfect rotation instead the possible/actual one.  If Windor and Pagan were on the roster this would be less of an issue.  But injuries are also why guys like Archer and Bundy are important.  You need guys to eat some innings, and to do it effectively two-times through a lineup is an asset though unusual from a traditional roster deployment.

I know it's a Monday night, and it's against Det, and there are other factors...cost, etc, but the attendance is really abysmal.
