PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Buxton is really in a rut, not a groove, right now. This game seems so much more comfortable at 4-1 than at, say, 4-3.

I guess the change of innings takes away any requirement at all, even if said pitcher continues and starts the next inning, he can only face one if wanted. Good thing Thielbar saved the gopher ball for this inning and not with the bases sacked!
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Pretzels would of been a Twins fan favorite, he only k 202 in them 400+ innings, pretzelto contact

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I know it's not going to last all season, but it sure is fun watching relief pitchers come in and consistently strand inherited runners. It seems like the antithesis of what we've seen from the Twins' bullpen in the last few years.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Author Posted May 22, 2022 Joe Smith remains NAILS. Really hope they let him take the 8th, but I don't think we've seen him go up and down once this season. If he doesn't, you're probably looking at Cano or Stashak, or throwing Duran/Pagan/Duffey/Jax on b2b days. One of those guys is likely going to be tasked with the 9th if the lead holds, and I imagine that'll be Duran.

On a side note does anyone know about a dictionary of rhythm? Bump. This is actually a serious question someone asked me recently, and i didn't know of one. For better context, if i didn't know what a rumba was, this could tell me.

Everyone knows what a rumba is. It's what occurs when there's a serious disagreement between the Sharks and the Jets.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Author Posted May 22, 2022 I love when other teams play bad defense.
Muppet Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 From what I gather on the radio Kepler was actually trying to steal second base... leading to a passed ball? People are bunting (or at least trying)? There are sac bunts and sac flies? What is happening to this team? I guess this is how you win when your stars can no longer hit.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 A rumba is a place in Boston where one drinks Captain Morgan.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 why ?? Pagan over Duran here ?? now i gotta get the Stolley out again

Sielk Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Joe Smith is a magician. No other explanation for his continued success with that 85 mph "fastball". Now let's hope the Twins score some runs because Pagán is apparently getting the 9th... ?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 If Muhammad Ali and George Foreman played that wood block game while doing aforementioned dance, would that the Rumba in the Jenga?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 lets get 5 here and Duffey can pitch the 9th
