Ballpark food and drinks

  1. 1. Ballpark food - what's your 'go to' or 'must have'? (you can choose as many as you want)

    • Brats/Hotdogs
    • Burger
      0
    • Cotton Candy
      0
    • Cracker Jack
    • Ice cream in a helmet
      0
    • Nachos
    • Peanuts
    • Pretzel
    • Sunflower Seeds
      0
    • The exotic choice ... a favorite from a 'specialty' vendor (please describe this choice in the comments)
  2. 2. Ballpark beverages - what's your choice?

    • Beer, and more beer, please (but what kind?)
    • Gatorade - because it's hot out and I need to watch my electrolytes
    • Margaritas
      0
    • Pop - because I'm the DD and I don't want just plain water
    • Water, because I'm worried about dehydration (it's really the best thing for you on a hot, sunny day)
    • Specialty - like one of those bloody marys with everything on a stick coming out of it (please expound in the comments)

The Cincinnati Reds have no-hit the Pirates through 8 innings... and they're losing 1-0! Hunter Greene was pitching out of his mind, though they've given up 6 walks.

Do infer he hit a 4 bagger?

I had to use the facilities...

The announcers been going on about that being a kilo-homer for the Twins in Target Field (TF as some around here say) or kilo-home-homer?

Radio guys, right? Sounds like they were referring to homers by Harmon Killebrew (as high as they were long). Buxton's ball was in the air a long time, but easily made the seats.

Per the poll, i am usually there for the ballgame and a cheapskate to boot, so unless there are special circumstances (like dollar dogs) i subsist on baseball.

You don't have to be a cheapskate to pass on the ballpark food and drinks. Those are some pricey vittles!

Just got back from retrieving carless/carfree - or was it careless/carefree?....(no, no, no, the first one) grad student daughter from Winnipeg.  Tuned into 'CCO on the way back. Missed a bunch of the action when we transitioned from the car to home sweet home.  Finally turned on the game, just after BB homered. I think I have a man-crush on Joe Ryan.

Side note:

Squirrel, how in the name of all that is right and good and true in the world can you lump hotdogs and brats in the same choice for ballpark food? They are separate categories. Yes they are both encased in digestive tract material, but hot dogs are pure and simple. With brats, like sausage, we may not want to know what goes into them but they are delicious.

I demand a recount.

Does it count as a no hitter if you only do it for 8 innings... but the bottom of the 9th isn't played because you lost?

I wouldn't mind another run or two...I just have a feeling we might need it.

I hope they never win another game. But that's just me.

What kind of underwear was Maeda wearing when he injured himself? I mean, the Twins owe it to the fans to tell us

Don't mean to be offensive, but is this a Mormon thing?

No, it's a Twins Daily thing

Ok, cool. I haven't been keeping up on my Twins Daily Scripture reading.  Sorry.

Gio is money at 3B! He's saving us.

I think the Gio pickup was a good one this year. If he doesn't work out let Lewis play there for awhile. Can't hurt.

The Twins better win this game. Got a spatchcocked chicken ready for the smoker along with sweet potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon. Maybe a bourbon too.....If they lose I'm throwing the whole damn dinner into the garbage can.

B-b-but you'd save the bourbon, right?

I liked the part about the chicken, sweet potatoes, etc, etc.  Do not like the part about throwing it away.  Bring it to me.  I'll give it a good home.

Uh, you know what goes into hotdogs? I mean, even if they say all-beef, what parts are really in there? And yes, they are lumped together because, well, they are all wieners in a generic sense.
