Twins starters have a collective 2.95 K/9. That is dead last in the majors and is nearly half of the 2012 K/9 of 5.53. Twins starters were also dead last in K/9 last year.

Everybody in the AL has played at least six games (two teams have played seven) and here are some rankings in team stats: The Twins are tied for 5th in runs per game despite the 12th best OPS and 14th best Slugging. They do have the 4th best OBP fueled largely by having the most walks. On the pitching side, the Twins have the 6th best ERA (they are 8th in runs allowed per inning) despite having the 12th best WHIP and the fewest strikeouts in the league.
