Thielbar struck out Chang with a sequence of 81, 73, and 93 mph pitches. Pretty hard to settle in with that much difference.

Make that the 8th K total in this game.

This is true, but my point was that the Twins are not going to sever all ties with Thorpe right now, therefore there would not be a DFA.  Thorpe will either sit on the MLB IL (and move to the 60 day as you noted if needed), or they will claim he's fine, and then option him.  I imagine in the offseason is when the Twins will either release him, or try to convince him to sign a minor league deal.

My point is they shouldn't care whether or not another team would claim him. He's taking up a 40 man roster spot and the chances he turns into a pitcher with any value at the MLB level, including a relief pitcher is virtually zero. Lewis Thorpe throwing at 88mph like he did in his last 2 appearances is not going to be effective at getting MLB batters out regardless of what inning you want him to pitch.

Colome throwing meat...... is 2 runs enough?

Unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

Damn. No wild pitch please. Can he do it?

I don't like that scowl on Zimmers face.

Well, that wasn't hard to see coming, was it?

Bad pitch for sure and Jeffers didn't help with a poor block attempt - you know the tying run is on third make a better effort than that but we have seen that all year.

We end up with Cave and Gordon in the outfield, didn't make plays, and Colome throws meat and three spikes in a row. It's not bad enough he walks the third out from a 1-2 count, but his spikes three and a row, worse everytime, and gives up the lead. But just keep him out there....

And now Jeffers, our defensive catcher........

Literally just giving this game away

What they've been doing all year long.

A lot of pretty talented individual hitters who can't execute most of the time, and a terrible bullpen who implodes more times than not when something is asked of them.

We ended up only letting them tie it.

That counts as taunting, right?

Well, he gave away the win. He didn't lose it, but he gave away the win. Call it what you want. I saw it and so did you.
