What’s he supposed to do, take Maeda out of the rotation? Who’s going to replace him, Captain Clownshoe? Because almost everyone he tries to put out there is a ****ing clownshoe.

Maeda has never been anywhere this bad and was quite good for the Dodgers in all roles, the Dodgers are just so stacked it was easy to move him out of the rotation due to the tiered salary.

I live out here in LA for the last 10 years... and I watched him pitch pretty poorly and inconsistently often.

I thought we had future aces Joahn Duran and Jordan Balazovich waiting to dominate?

The Braves call up 19 and 20 year old pitchers and hitters all the time and they turn into All-Stars. Meanwhile the Twins wait until their prospects are weathered old grandpas before they even let them sniff the bigs.

What's to lose by letting Duran or Balazovich get a shot here? A year of control? There is literally nobody else, like you said, except Captain Clownshoe & co.

It doesn’t seem like he’s throwing the same stuff he was in 2020. Did he just lose arm strength because of his age? Is he hurt? It doesn’t seem like a case of “the league figured him out.”

Well, they're both currently hurt, and Balazovic has had 4 starts at A+. Duran is close, but I don't expect to see Balazvoic this year.

It probably has something to do with neither of them pitching in a game for like 20 months.

I think Roy explained it aptly during the 2nd inning, his command is gone, and he was very reliant on his sequencing to fool hitters in 2020. There does not seem to be a velocity issue, at least. He was never this bad for the Dodgers.
