Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 A totally impotent offense when it matters
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 So tell me about how good Arraez' eye is again.....
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 This team is only allowed to score a maximum of 3 runs, there's no use fighting it. Now it's just down to whether the bullpen blows the game in the 6th-9th or in the 10th.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Practicing for batting in the 10th......

'Jimmy Choos' seemed to fit the joke better than the swine cholera thing.
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 The usual fart and fall down with runners in scoring position. Even when we do get a hit we don’t score from second. This inning embodies our season to date

Whoever that pitcher was, he threw some nasty pitches. But we are trying to save a season here so I have to agree...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Maeda out with only 87 pitches. I guess that is because we have a bullpen you can trust.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Ump calls the well outside pitch a strike, but the perfect pitch on the inside black, a ball.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Really don't like pulling Maeda now
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 We don’t have even half a reliable guy in the bullpen, so sad.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Chump. No control. Talk talk talk. You got Alcala. Not ready for prime time.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Huh. Starting to think the bullpen may not be all that and a bag of sea salt and vinegar chips. Great diagnosis by Smalley that makes me feel optimistic about them turning it around, though... "Pitching is hard"
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 4-5-3...combined with the L6-3...that's a Twingo
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Chin up, ladies and germs, we only have 4 1/2 more months to go

I’ve read recently, I believe Gleeman on the Athletic? That the Twins have kept their starters in the game longer than most teams in the league from an IP standpoint. At least in the top 10 in MLB. Felt like Maeda was cruising tonight where you could keep him in another inning but what do I know?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 I really don't understand giving Alcala that spot...if you want to give him high leverage, fine, but put him in a position to succeed. We know he can't get lefties out, the the first two were LHH. And yes, I know Abreu is who did the damage. The process was bad, and so was the result

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 This team is so much better than the Twins. No chance this year.
