RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Since Rocco's not married, he must have a tough time scoring at night, if his girlfriend is a baseball fan or has at least some baseball knowledge.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 It’s tough getting around with only four reliable relievers. If our starters can’t get past the 5th we will struggle.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 You would think the extra weight would help the velocity.20 lbs of muscle is a lot different than fat. Just ask Buston about his 20. Double chin and floaters to go along with Duffey's velo drop... fat just gets in the way.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 You would think the extra weight would help the velocity.Yeah, I tried selling that BS to Mrs Chief. Didn't work there, either.

bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Waddell another example of Rocco trying to get away with using subpar players. Slam the door for once, Rocco.

If our starters can’t get past the 5th we will struggle.Yep, that’s the one concerning thing about the first month. The starters actually weren’t horrible, routinely getting at least 5 IP. And the pen was still pretty bad. If the starters give less than five more than once a week, look out
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I mean the BP has looked better as of late, so that’s slightly encouraging.

I don’t think we have nearly as many BP losses without him.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Somethings gotta change with the BP. If I were GM I'd honestly take up offers on Sano and/or Kepler for a reliever. If they acquire a reliever you gotta assume they will be using prospects and not major league pieces.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 If they acquire a reliever you gotta assume they will be using prospects and not major league pieces. I just thought if they offered some players with major league success that could sweeten the deal
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Because with this bullpen, a 5 run lead is the equivalent to an average team's 3 run lead. And just like that, you need Duffey to save the inning and Rogers has to man the 9th anyways. Yes, that's what happened, but using Duffy and Rogers to begin the inning burns them anyways. Don't use them unless it's necessary, they have 7 more games in a row.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I like Polanco much better as a righty. He doesn't pull off on his swing. He seems to constantly step in the bucket and pull off when swinging as a lefty. Pulls his shoulder out. Just not a pretty swing. Totally different from the right side.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Some truly horrendous outfield routes by both teams

singlesoverwalks Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Is that Dave Dahl the professional baseball left fielder or noted Twin Cities meteorologist Dave Dahl out there, folks?
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Some truly horrendous outfield routes by both teams Well really just in LF.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I'm only half full of ****, but Polo should consider batting right handed only I'm 100% full then.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Is that Dave Dahl the professional baseball left fielder or noted Twin Cities meteorologist Dave Dahl out there, folks?yes.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I don't think that was a bad route by the left fielder. Unless he could run faster, that ball was gonna plug the gap no matter what. It was out of his reach. Now Cave...THAT was a bad route.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I'm only half full of ****, but Polo should consider batting right handed onlyWhom do you have in mind for the other half of the platoon?
