Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Is Zimmer the most conservative coach in football? Zero aggression on their last 2 offensive drives, and defensive drives.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I mean, they took a knee on the kickoff! Why not at least try to return it for a touchdown?
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Is Zimmer the most conservative coach in football? Zero aggression on their last 2 offensive drives, and defensive drives. It is his mantra. Play not to lose. Saints were stacking the box, let Cousins air it out and win the game. Instead, bonehead run plays and third and long with no chance. Same **** every game.

Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 We have today to celebrate and see what next week brings.....I thought SF vs Ravens would be the Superbowl but we can hope!

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Great win, but in spite of Zimmer, not due to Zimmer. Gutless 4th quarter. But nice job Cousins.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 SF is a winnable game for sure. Jimmy G is way overrated. If the defense shows up again, no way they can hang.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Great win, but in spite of Zimmer, not due to Zimmer.Gutless 4th quarter. But nice job Cousins.I partially disagree. Zimmer really had the defense ready today. I was shocked. He did good there. I wasn't thrilled with some of our conservative play calling but not sure how much of that is on Zimmer or our OC. But it's a heck of a win. Good for us.

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Did we win yet?I think they're still reviewing the final play. We'll know for sure by Saturday.

Good for us.It was a good defensive game overall, although the Saints were kind of eating us up in the 4th quarter. If Brees doesn't fumble (admitted some credit goes to our defense for that too!) or if the Saints don't bungle their clock management on the final drive, we probably lose the game.

I thought we might win a shoot-out but we kept them out of the endzone pretty well. The defense really stood up. I know nothing about the 49ers but hopefully we beat them, too.

I don’t think they have an established #1 WR or #1 RB. Jimmy Garappolo is almost the opposite of Cousins as far as their narratives. Cousins we know has the losing record in prime time games. All Jimmy G does is win, but he’s rarely the reason why they win.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 um... you mean Seattle do their job... right? The best path to the Super Bowl is through Lambeau!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 The best path to the Super Bowl is through Lambeau! that depends on if in this scenario, the Seahawks get healthy and lose to the Packers anyways. If the Seahawks are still banged up and manage to eek out a win again an inconsistent (yet still awesome) Packers team, that might be a better bet for your Vikes. Wilson and the rest of the team might still be hobbled, but shouldn’t be overlooked. That has been LaFleur’s Achilles Heel.
