as i remember the front must have had an upturned lip of some kind. a plain and simple thing that was dragged around a field to make kids miserable in the summer.

Ours were hooked to the tractor with a log chain, so the tension of the chain to the drawbar was enough to lift the front end of the skid.

Exactly. Up in Plattsburgh it was like 9.99 a 24 pack.

So Garver is #2 among catchers?

 

One could argue that were Garver given as many opportunities as others, his WAR might be a lot higher than 4 this year. Realmuto's 585 PA's versus Garver's 345 PA's is a massive difference in opportunity.

 

All we know right now is that MLB calculates Garver's WAR at about 4 and the only calculation higher than that here in 2019 is Realmuto at about 4.5.
