70charger Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I will feel a lot better with at least one more insurance run. But wait, hear me out, what about two?
big dog Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I’m not old enough to remember the days before bud miller and coors dominating everything.Hamms! Schmidt! A beer-drinking bear and cans with varied outdoor scenes on them. Those were the days. My neighbor, who has too much money, just had his old silo painted like a Schmidt can. Very awesome. PS I love the Romo trade. Love it.
tvagle Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I like it when Sergio is fired up!Especially when he won the Masters!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 nice job Tony
tvagle Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Speaking of a fantastic TV commentator. What channel is he working this year? I get confused.Yes

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 So Garver is #2 among catchers? With 200 less plate appearances.
tvagle Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 he doesn’t get the Ironman title for that, he gets the slippery weasel awardGopher balls and slippery weasels...back on a horse...throwing bails of hay...steel boats...this GT has now been renamed Old McDonald
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I confess. I grew up on a farm and threw bails of hay...which made me not want to farm or throw hay ever again. It's possible that's what drove Duffey to throwing so well.I regularly tell people that I went to college wanting to major in math, but really I was majoring in “anything but dairy farming.”
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 With 200 less plate appearances. The age-old debate: "Tastes great!" "Less filling!"

My friend and I drove to Wilkes-Barre, PA to get Schmidt and Schlitz last October. They had Grizzle's on the can! Also got some Stroh's, Shaffer, Red Dog, Old German. Next on the list is Stag and Blatz! You midwesterner's can get that in Wisconsin!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 He made that catch look easy
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Especially when he won the Masters! But not when he's throwing clubs at his caddie.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Remember when this game was over in the 2nd? Good times. Yeah, it’s kind of interesting reading the first few pages of the GT when the score is 8-5. It’s almost like, wait, you mean they’re playing a full nine tonight?

Only manufacturing management which is basically applied stats for dummies... but not dairy farming!
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 This Royals pitcher seems good, at least tonight.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Here's something to consider...In 1991 Chuck Knoblauch was rookie of the year. Arraez is a rookie this year. Both had similar seasons (although Chuck played more games). We won the World Series in 1991. I think the similarities are interesting. My analysis: Twins win the World Series this year. Just a hunch.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 did you call the flat piece of iron you pulled behind the tractor a "stone boat"? I always liked that word.Drags or skids.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 My older brother liked Almond Roca, so my Mom figured it was his "thing," so every Christmas there was a tub of it under the tree. This usually counted as his birthday present, as he was a Christmas baby. Later, we had a fiery Basque guy drive truck for us during sugar beet harvest. His name was Tony Rocca, so of course we called him Tony "Almond" Rocca. My brother was also a Dallas Cowboys fan, so the transition from Tony Rocca to Tony Romo was relatively seamless. Finally, my brother moved to South Carolina a few years ago, as a crop insurance guy. I haven't looked, but I'm assuming that one of those Tropical Storms circling out there in the oceans has to be named Tropical Storm Sergio. There. Game thread conquered. Before I hit post, I will now check to see what has happened in the game, while I was taking that stroll down memory lane... ...I'm back. Apparently, Ryan LaMarre is playing for the Twins, and hitting .300. He looks more like a Tony Rocca, to me.
