ashbury Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Night, everyone. See ya'll tomorrow. We arrived first, we're leaving at the same time. People may talk. Good night. Try to keep this game respectable, all.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Cron could of - didnt like him hitting there, - This might be a 3 game lead friday night against Clevinger, Gonna be intrestingGarver has played first base for us.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Also, not sure how Garver didn't pinch hit for either Astudillo or Adrianza. It sure seemed like he was ready to pinch hit, not sure why they didn't give him a chance there...Yeh, you don't want to waste your hottest HR hitter on a 2-men-on, nobody-out situation. Better to save him for one of those 2-out, nobody-on in the 9th situations. SMDH
bighat Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Is something wrong with Sano? Yeah, he's hurt. Just like Kepler, Gonzalez, and Cron. Twins resting these guys because they're a bit sore and acting like they've got a 12-game lead. Memo to Rocco and the Twins FO: now's the time to use the best players you have.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Time to go watch the Lynx!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 If garver hits for wade, with 0 or 1 on will be scratching the headI just meant Astudillo and Adrianza both batted with 2 runners on, while Wade was after Adrianza if Adrianza extended the inning. Better to use Garver for Astudillo probably.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 If we lose tonight, it's a big one! Better come up with 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth somehow.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 That was the least surprising home run ever.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Time to go watch the Lynx! The lynx is watching you, too!

Memo to Rocco and the Twins FO: now's the time to use the best players you have. All I can say is if you're not using your sore guys now, then when is the right time to use them? When we are down 2 games in the standings? If that happens, we're finished.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 At the prompting of an earlier post, I went over to Don Mossi's Fbook page just for the heck of it.He passed away quite recently. Here's a memorial post:I think it would be a gas if Joe's Animal Hospital received a handful of donations from some random Twins fans on some random day, just because of some random chat.Good for the heart.

I don't get why they refused to pinch hit Garver, but I understand if they don't want Sano swinging away when his back is hurting him.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 If we lose tonight, it's a big one! Better come up with 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth somehow. We need to win tomorrow too! And we need to win two of three in Cleveland!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Wade needs to get a hit now and then to stay above the "Palka Line."
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 There are going to be six 90 win teams in the AL in all probability. Actually, probably six with at least 93 wins. One of them isn’t going to make the playoffs at all and another one is going to be one and done. There is still no reason why one of those two teams can’t be the Twins.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 This season is starting to head into a very dark place. Better find a way to finish Twins or this season will become infamous.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Garver's usage all year has baffled me.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 The Nats were recently down 10-4 in the bottom of the ninth and won 11-10. Would be nice for the Twins to pull one of those.

Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Well, the Angels are now in a must win situation. Desperately need them to bail us out tonight.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Welp. Angels have pulled to within a run, Gibson comes back tomorrow. Rested I hope.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Well, crud. And, of course, as soon as I said something, Dick mentioned that Sano is having back problems.
