I know May has been very effective lately, but I haven't seen most of his good outings. Maybe I shouldn't watch when he pitches.

I've had the same general experience. The times I've seen more emotion from him, he does better. I usually don't want to play the pop-psych game on pro players, but I do have an occasional opinion on the subject. :)

I thought that this series would be a great barometer for the true state of the bullpen.

Was probably also helped out by the weird layout of Fenway. May have been a foul in Target Field.

 

And noooo way that was a 430 ft home run if Sano's was only 460 ft.
