IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Perez is who we thought he was.Meaning mediocre, at best.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 With the September guys coming up I think it's time to go bullpen game the next time Perez's turn comes up. Or at least give him absolutely no leash and have people warmed up the first sign of trouble. Scary for next season-rotation as of now probably consists of Jose Berrios and that's it. Which sounds better than Jose Berrios and Martin Perez. That's all we have are bullpen games. None of these starts (or Rocco) are capable of going more than six.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 It’s early and we’re in Detroit. We’ll get them back
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 You can't limit this offense than how the hell can you beat Houston or New York in the LDS?Perez will not be starting a playoff game. But yeah, this really bad
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Hopefully Detroits not still at batyou mean when you wake up in the morning?
sftwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Wow, that's pathetic, they just now have appeared to get someone even up in the bullpen.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 TB up 3-2 Would rather the Indians wins to keep the Twins focused.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 How is... even.. ... I can’t ..
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Wow, that's pathetic, they just now have appeared to get someone even up in the bullpen. They can’t be resting anybody, can they, with call ups tomorrow? I don’t get it either
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Rocco 8 in a row, that means Perez is done
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 How is... even.. ... I can’t ..Couldn't have said it better.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Havent seen this bad of a start from a twins pitcher in a long time
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Checking out, enjoy your evenings!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 What is baffling to me is that Rocco seems insistent on allowing his starting pitchers to throw 80-85 pitches each game, whether they are throwing a one hit shutout or getting lit up. How about you let the guys pitching well continue and take the guys who can't get anyone out sooner? This seems like a better pitching strategy.
sftwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Ok, now I'd definitely pull Adrianza from the game. Not like that ball was moving with any speed.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Well, I guess we didn't learn from Bartlett, Sano, and Arraez but you probably shouldn't put your infielders in the outfield.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Just popping in to say I'm glad I'm not watching this one. LOL [Dark and frustrated LOL] Go Twins!
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Ok, now I'd definitely pull Adrianza from the game. Not like that ball was moving with any speed. Put him on the mound as punishment!
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Did we just witness the Twins record for most hits given up by a pitcher in a single inning?
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Pathetic efforts from both Perez and Adrianza. Embarrassing.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 What purpose does Perez serve being on the Twins?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Dick just seems bewildered how this could possibly happen.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Two things seem to happen when you bring in a reliever after a big inning - a quick out, or a home run.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 The offense has to feel deflated. I don't expect a comeback in this one. I'm going for a walk. Have fun everyone.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Hmmm, maybe Stashak should've come in, say 5 batters ago?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 OK, so every team, even good ones, have WTF innings. If any team can come back to win it's us. Get to work and do it.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Would rather the Indians wins to keep the Twins focused.umm no, let’s find another way
